Vehicle Detail

Looking for an easy restoration? Maybe one for the Power Tour or something cool at the local cruise nights? How about a 1966, loaded up, factory air conditioned, V8 powered, Nassau Blue over Black, IMPALA wagon. I recently discovered this garage find which has been "hibernating" since 1991. It is loaded from the factory with the following options: RPO# FF Marina Blue Paint 814A Trim Black All Vinyl A01 Shaded Soft Ray Glass All Windows C51 Rear Air Deflector C60 Factory Four Seasons Air Conditioning J50 Power Brakes L77 283 Cubic Inch Motor M35 Powerglide Transmission N40 Power Steering U63 AM Pushbutton Radio Padded Dash, no cracks Manual Crank Tailgate Window Four Date Coded Seat Belts The wagon is very straight. Doors open and close well with no sagging or poor alignment of any kind. All window glass in good condition and operate freely with no issues. It was repainted once in the mid 80's. Tailgate is rust free with no corrosion anywhere and opens and closes freely. Spare tire well and rear storage compartment are in good, unrestored condition. Rear storage mat is original and dated late 1965. The original padded dash is in excellent condition. The headliner and sun visors are original and have no rips or tears showing almost no wear. The interior is all original, no typical musty smell, and with the exception of a tear in the driver's side bench seat is in exceptional condition. Under the hood this Impala looks stock with the following day two items: Mickey Thompson Valve Covers, Hooker Headers, and Glass Pack Cherry Bomb Exhaust. It has been stored inside since 1991. Antifreeze weakend over time and the original block cracked. All factory air condtioning components including firewall plenum, and condensor are present. The only thing missing is the compressor which was removed when the day two headers were installed. It still has the original date coded Harrisson radiator, correct date coded alternator, carburetor, power steering, and power brake components. Wagons are hot! Drop in a date coded 283 and restore her back to original, or swap the original drivetrain for a crate motor and turn this loaded up wagon in to a Restomod. This is a straight, complete wagon waiting to return to her days of glory. I have an additional fifty plus pictures available to any and all prospective bidders. I also encourage interested parties to inspect this high option Impala wagon at any time during the auction. Feel free to contact Tom at 630-337-3481to schedule an appointment or answer any questions that you may have. The winning bidder will own it. Good luck!
