Vehicle Detail

This is a 1993 Nissan 300ZX 2+2,non-turbo,overall clean condition. When I bought this car about 14 months ago I had installed new fuel injectors(6),a new fuel injector harness, new recoring of the factory radiator, new tension rods and bushings in front, alignment, new Nissan synthetic oil,new Nissan factory oil filter with valve, new Bosch platinum plugs for this year Z,a new battery, and numerous other small items, including a cargo cover for the back area(used).I also installed 4 new Kumo Ecsta W rated tires(168MPH) just 1 week ago.I have the receipt. On Thursday night,Sept23,2010 I raced the car at Toyota Speedway 1/8 mile dragstrip and made 2 runs in Irwindale,CA.My Z was the left lane.First run 67,2nd 67mph,with 0-60 time of apprx 9 seconds. This last weekend I raced the Z at the "Mojave Mile" at the Mojave Spaceport,Mojave,CA.This is a closed 1 mile straight racecourse with each car running 1 mile with the speed recorded at the end of the mile.I raced 2 runs,at 118 and 119 mph. When I lined up in the staging lanes for a 3rd run the starter notified me that they could hear a knocking from the motor and that the car could no longer run that day.I started to drive home to So Cal and the car began losing oil pressure and knocking louder so I had it towed home. This is the situation with this car,as-is. It has a lot of potential for somebody who wants to rebuild the motor or pop-in a replacement used motor, which are very plentiful here in So Cal.This car does start but it is knocking and has very low oil pressure. The car also has 4 Rota 17in X 8in wheels,5 lug, very hard to find,in good condition. And I installed a new fire ext. for racing, easily removed with no holes drilled. Please don`t bid if you have no intention of buying.I reserve the right to end the auction before, during,or after any sale on Ebay.I will cooperate with your shipper but you must make all arrangements to ship the car. It is a 2 door hatchback, with a small back seat(2+2 seating). The paint is OK but not perfect. The car has never been wrecked that I know of.All lights work and it has a Blaupunkt 200W stereo installed and it sometimes works thru the Bose speakers, but I do not have the factory Bose head-unit.I have the 4 used tires I removed to install the new tires and the buyer can have those if you want them. The air-conditioner was repaired by me and it is cold.It has 2 NRG-Innovations racing seats installed and I do not have the factory seats. These front seats are larger than average and I am 6`4" tall and I am comfortable in these seats, and they recline and adjust back and forward OK.This car has a lot of value and it could even be converted to a twin-turbo.I had new carpet installed in the back cargo area. The rear seat folds down and this car has a very roomy, spacious feel to it compared to other Z cars. The car is reg and titled up to date in California.I am posting some photos from the Mojave Mile,Saturday,9-25-10.The first 2 show my Z,the red Ford F-40 was the fastest car at the meet at over 200MPH several runs. His daughter then drove the car to 198MPH.That car is a twin-turbo and this is why he ran so well. Many at the meet complained of the heat and effect on air to their motors. The equation of heat x humidity x existing altitude equaled the the estimated altitude of 5400+ft.This is what kept my Z from going much faster. All the turbo cars could easily adjust for atmospheric conditions. The rest of us could not. This year of 300ZX has twin air filters and intakes and it helped but not at altitude like 5400+ft.Enjoy the photos of The Mojave Mile and one dedicated to bass instruments everywhere. The time slips for the 4 runs are included. The motorcycle photos are of the fastest bikes. All went at or near 200MPH.
