Thank you for understanding. This SV is a great little bike. Carbureted, so no worries about fuel injection acting up (and you can push start it if you need to). TOTALLY STOCK down to the muffler – nobody’s monkeyed with this bike. It’s never been dropped – there is not a mark on it anywhere, including the ends of the pegs and the levers. No scratches, no gouges, no dings. That said…the bike has NOT been Maryland State Inspected. If you are a Maryland resident, feel free to bid on the motorcycle, but be aware that it is the BUYERS responsibility to pay for inspection, taxes, and tags in addition to the winning bid amount. That’s Maryland’s law, not ours – we are not allowed to sell a motor vehicle to a Maryland resident unless it is inspected. And, in order to keep our ebay pricing as low as possible, we’re not going to automatically get the bike inspected because there’s a good chance it will be going out of state. Now that the inspection stuff is out of the way…back to the bike. The engine fires right up (once you pull the clutch in – safety switch!) and lets you adjust the cold idle with the choke, just the way it should be. Once it warms up, you can close the choke and it settles right into a normal idle. It revs up without sneezing or coughing, shifts just fine, makes good power just the way it should, and handles without any wobble or wander. The brakes are also in great shape. The tires have a ton of life left in them. The red paint doesn’t have a mark on it, and it has a very subtle red metal flake that gives it a little “pop” in full sunlight. The pictures (or my monitor) make it look a little orange, but believe me…it is RED. It’s only got 2900 miles on it – hard to imagine anything could be wrong with those low miles! This is a neat, predictable, decently-powered entry-level motorcycle. It’s no literbike when it comes to speed…but the power it does have is totally predictable with no surprises, and would be great for a beginner-to-novice rider, or an experienced rider just looking for something fun to flick around the back roads, or to commute to work on. I didn’t ride the bike very far, but I’ve done enough miles on motorcycles (only about 300,000 in the last dozen years or so) to be able to give a good impression of how this one behaves. Perfectly predictable, no bad manners. Just the way it was designed. Handling is great. Turn-in is precise. Power is good all the way up to about 7,000 RPM (I didn’t rev it beyond that – not because it wouldn’t, but because I didn’t want to stress the bike too much on a short hop). Shifting is butter-smooth, the clutch works the way it should, and the brakes (with a dual-disc front end) are wonderful. The bike is very well balanced, the controls are right where you need them, and the size is right. I’m over six feet tall, and I fit on it just fine. The seat is not super-high, but it’s not a lowered bike either so if you have a short inseam…you may want to consider a lowering kit or a low seat as an option once you buy the bike. But my tall frame, with long arms and legs, fit just fine without feeling cramped or stretched. And the seat is SUPER-cushy. It’s basically a brand-new, 11 year old motorcycle. The Metzeler tires front and rear are in great shape, have good tread, and handle great. The reflectors are all in place. The muffler is stock. The lights all work. I can’t see a single reason this bike won’t go through a safety inspection…but again…. The motorcycle is NOT Maryland inspected. The eBay pricing does NOT include inspection fees.
