motorcar54 Store I've lowered the starting bid and the buy it now. You can buy this great car for less than the cost of the engine rebuild. It has around 3000 miles since complete professional rebuild, it's like getting the car for free! Feel free to call if you have any questions. 216 310 2313 1976 MGB roadster from southern California. No rust ever, very clean body, has been painted before I got it. Engine was completely professionally rebuilt around 1996 at a cost of 3300.00 (with less than 2500 miles since rebuild) soon after I bought it. Runs great, good power, burns no oil. Synthetic always used since. Clutch and trans excellent. Brakes good, tires are Dunlop SP Sport 8000 with lots of tread but showing some dry rot cracking. Still hold air fine and stick like glue. Very fun to drive and as reliable as any MG out there. Wire wheels have been blasted and painted silver as original. Chrome two eared knock offs with nice wrench for easy removal. There is a small dent and chipped paint on the front center of the hood. A ladder fell on it in the garage, Duh! The other is to the right of the rear license plate. It was a gift from the transporter that delivered it from California. Both would be easy fixes, just never got around to it. Top is in good shape but rear window is fogged. Other than that everything is in excellent shape and works as it should. I have owned several MGBs in the past and this is by far the best. I hate to sell it, but other interests seem to keep me under 500 miles a year since I've owned it. Full tonneau cover for passenger compartment and two different convertible boot covers. Very nice Nardi steering wheel and matching shift knob cost over 400 new. Also included is the complete original carb system with pumps, hoses etc if you ever wanted to remove the dual SUs to make it original, although I don't know why you would. Also has nice fitted locking car cover. Fell free to contact me for any additional information.
