Vehicle Detail
1968 Ford Bronco, 289 V-8, 3 speed Manual Transmission, 4 wheel drive, Ford color is "Peacock Blue" (teal), interior is beige / off white. PLEASE READ THE TERMS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE BEFORE BIDDING. BY BIDDING YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE TERMS LISTED. Thank you. VERY VERY LOW RESERVE well under $10,000. Priced to SELL. DESCRIPTION: This Bronco was purchased in 1968 in Denver, Colorado and spent most of it's life at a cabin in the mountians. In 2005 the ORIGINAL owner brought it to a Ford dealership and spent over $11,000 having the Bronco mechanically and cosmetically brought back to a like new condition. The original and one subsequent owner kept good records on everything done to this Bronco from oil changes, general maintenance, to the 2005 restoration. All of these records come with the Bronco, also the Original Owner manual AND the original 1968 Ford Service Shop Manual. As a bonus, I'm also including an original 1960's Nylint Bronco toy and horse trailor that many Ford dealers used as a promotional item. (see pictures). FORD DATA PLATE INFORMATION: Wheel base=092 Color=D (Peacock Blue) Model=U15D Body 9498=Wagon Transmission C=3speed manual Rear Axle=03 (4.11 open) FOUR WHEEL DRIVE: Bronco has a Dana 30 4.10 front axle, with 4 wheel ranges of High 2 High 4 Low 4 Neutral. The four wheel drive system is all original and works perfectly. NEW PARTS ADDED SINCE 2005: 1) Total repaint in original cover with all trim removed in April 2005 2) All new or repro rubber seals on doors, windows, rear hatch etc 3) NEW N.O.S tailgate 4) New Dash Pad, not a cover 5) Stainless Removeable door hinges 6) Stainless Windshield fold down knob and new Hood windshield secure bracket 7) All NEW seat covers in 2010, front and rear 8) near mint Used armrests in 2009, 9) NOS Ford Window cranks in 2010, 10) New Chrome bumpers, front and rear 11) New "Bronco" script fender badges, 12) New "F.O.R.D" chrome grill letters, 13) New all metal 19.5 Gallon gas tank in 2009 14) NOS outside door handles in 2009 15) Entire Floor coated in professionally installed "RhinoHyde" ($550) 16) BRAND NEW "Best Top" with carrying case included ($900) 17)Full mechanical work by Ford in 2005. I've probably forgot some items but you can get the idea. BRONCO'S CONDITION; The body and paint were done in 2005, so there are a few paint chip touch-ups, but NO NO rust anywhere on the body. The only thing that was rust repaired is the floor section on the driver's side which was nicely repaired. Hood is or never was rusty. The engine compartment is mostly stock and has NOT been "show detailed" but is clean and grease free. The undercarriage has not been touched and would need to be detailed to get the Bronco to a show car status (Bronco sits on my driveway and no fluid leaks are evident). The doors are and have never been rusty, bottoms are clean. The windshield has a very small "star" chip just below the rear view mirror ($100 replacement is available through Tom's Bronco Parts). The interior is very clean with all original floors (except driver's side as mentioned above). All new seats in 2010 from Tom's Bronco Parts including new seat foam and rear seat. The rear arm rests are in perfect condition, NOT split or falling apart like most. ITEMS THAT WORK AND don't WORK. The only two items that do NOT work is the horn and the gas gauge. The gas gauge was working but decided last week to die. All other gauges, lights, original Bronco radio, factory remote throttle control, correct vacuum wipers, all work fine. HOW DOES IT DRIVE ?? I've driven this Bronco on two 200 mile trips and it drives perfectly FOR a 1968 Bronco. Drives and stops straight. The tires are almost new, BF Goodrich All Terrain Radial LT 235/75R-15 including the spare which is secured by an NOS "Ford" script brass lock. For those NOT familiar with the 1st generation Broncos, especially the 1966-69, they do have Manual Brakes, Manual Steering so driving is not "compfy" like your 2010 Ford Explorer. The Bronco drives straight and tight with NO "road wonder" thanks to a good steering box, Rancho shocks, and Rancho steering dampner. TERMS : This Bronco is sold with NO warranty, AS IS, WHERE IS.
