Vehicle Detail

1994 Geo Metro Hatchback / 5-speed manual transmission Only 55,000 original miles! Runs and drives excellent! I bought the car just under two years ago. My son put about 10K miles on it. He went back east to college last month with a 4 wheel drive. The Metro stayed home and is an extra vehicle right now, so sadly it needs to be sold. This car easily sees 45+ miles per gallon with the 5th gear on the highway and you will rarely put more than 6 or 7 gallons in the 10 gallon tank. It's a great feeling at the gas pumps when the pump clicks off and you have money left over for dinner! I had the windows tinted about a year ago and put two new tires on the rear. The front tires were put on new when I bought the car and have plenty of life remaining. The brakes are about half life. There are no oil leaks or leaks of any kind. The car just passed a California Smog check on 09-24-10 and a copy is in the glovebox. The AM/FM/CD player has an input jack for your Ipod and also has a removable faceplate and storage case. I also replaced both rear hatch lift struts. I'm including a Haynes maintenance manual which really comes in handy. The Metro is very easy to maintain. I previously owned a 1990 Metro which I bought brand new and drove over 140,000 miles with no problems whatsoever. The 3 cylinder fuel injected engines go and go as long as you keep up with oil changes (this one has). This car has 2/3 of that kind of usable mileage still remaining! The paint is not a "10" but would shine up with a little polish and elbow grease. Some of the black trim paint is flaking off below the windows. There are no dents and there is no accident history. For anyone buying at the "Buy It Now" price: I bought a used but complete and working air conditioning system for a 1994 Metro with all wiring harnesses, compressor and all components, and all mounting hardware (right down to the "A/C" button for the panel). I have a very good set of step by step instructions to put the system in this Metro. I spent $350 on this system. Though I have all of the old parts, I would still advise buying a new condenser and evaporator prior to charging the system. Anyway, I will give this entire A/C system and all parts as a free bonus for using the "Buy It Now" price. For any sale of the Metro at a lesser price, I will sell the A/C system for $250 extra if interested. Installation of the A/C system would be up to the buyer. For out of town buyers, I can pick you up at the Burbank airport if you would like to fly in to pick up the Metro. Thanks for looking! Additional: The Metro will have a brand new battery installed at auction end, to go with the sale.
