Im listing this car for a friend of mine. It is a 1958 Chevrolet 2dr post car. This car is in beautiful condition. It has had some restoration work done but basically just the paint and interior. The new paint job was done by professionals using the newer system of urerthane 2stage base/clear coat, sanded and buffed to a show winning finish. The interior was done with much like the original using top quality materials and it looks beautiful. I just want to say this car was very nice before the paint and interior were redone but prior owner wanted the car back to mint condition. The chrome and stainless is very nice on the car only showing slight wear. I did notice a few very slight minor pits in the pot metal around the tail lights, but for a 52 year old car I consider it nice. I tried to take pictures of chrome and as can be seen it looks very good. This car is equipped with the original 283 CI and it runs perfect. Starts right up and is quiet as a mouse. The heads have been reconditioned for use with unleaded gas, with all new hoses, belts and water pump and gaskets. The transmission is the original powerglide 2sp and it shifts perfect. The exhaust is stainless steel from the motor right to the exhaust tips The brakes have recently been updated with all new parts also, tires are like new also. This car is also equipped with the factory power steering and it works great also. The prior owner had all four coil springs cut about 1.5 inches shorter to give the car a little lower appearance. It did not effect the handling but it does give it a very nice stance when parked. So what we have here is a beautiful 58 Delray that can be driven any distance, this car needs nothing but a new owner, its ready for the car shows and will win the trophys. Look at the pictures and I think you will agree this is one nice ride. This is will not be a money pit for the next owner, I know of nothing that this car needs. This car went to a car show with me last week about 60 miles, in 90 plus degree weather and temp was not a problem. So here is a beautiful car that anybody would be proud to own, so bid to own this ride. We also have this car forsale locally so I reserve the right to take it off ebay if it sells.
