Vehicle Detail
This car I built as my own personal tribute to Steve McQueen and the movie Bullitt and has been shown as such in several indoor car shows. The car had been rotissorie restored in '95 and I redid it in 2007-2008. It is a factory big block car with the original 390 and automatic. Although the car sees less then 100 miles per year I did do some improvement to it to make it more of a joy to drive. I changed the front disc brakes to dual piston so now the car stops on a dime. Also for anyone that knows these car knows that they handle like crap especially with a big block. So I replaced the steering components with a bolt on rack and pinion system that is hidden behind the oil pan and wow what a difference! Now you are no longer white knuckled going into a corner at regular speed. This is a car that when you do drive it you enjoy the experience and can't wait for the next time. I hope the pics can do the car justice cause you will be hard pressed to find a nicer paint job. I used Standox paint and spent countless hours wet sanding and polishing the car to have an incredible shine. Simply put, you will not find a nicer Mustang, you may find one just a nice but it won't be nicer. The 390 pulls hard and strong, one pump of the gas and it starts and idles everytime. Transmission shifts perfectly, diff is a Ford 9", 31" spline axles and a 3:25 posi. Everything works as it should and drives beautifully. Interior has no issues, factory tach works perfectly, I added the original shelby oil/amp gauges you see at the bottom of the dash. Radio also turns on and works great using the only speaker in the car found at the front of the dash. This is a 2+2 version so the back seat folds down flat and the panel in the trunk flips open to give you rear access. I have the Marti report for the car and the door tag has the following info: 7=1967, R=built in San Jose, 02=Mustang FB, S=390-4v, 63B=Mustang FB, Q5=Brittany Blue Pt, 6B=Blue Decor Seats, 12J=built in Sept 12, 1966, 73=Salt lake City ordering District, 1=3:00 axle ratio, U=C-6 selet-shift cruise-0-matic, it also states it is 1 of 323 built. The car was just recently appraised for insurance purposes by a certified appraiser and the car was appraised at $45K. This is a super clean and super nice Mustang that needs nothing. You can show or drive it and enjoy it for years to come, it is a highly detailed and quality restoration with a lot of money spent on the car, way more then one can sell it for but thats pretty standard for restorations. Please inspect the car before if you can and ask any questions before hand. I don't believe in scare tactics about how these are legally binding contracts and all that other crap, everyone knows there not but with that being said please don't waste my time and I won't waste yours. If this is what you are looking for then you will not be disappointed and you could never even begin to build this car for the money. Downpayment of $500 in three days and balance within 10. I will assist in shipping in whatever way I can. If you fly out to inspect the car and its not what you wanted don't sweat it, no one can force you to buy somthing you don't want, however once the car is paid for and shipped it is sold as is.
