It "is" a combination of two vehicles as well as "NOS" parts and aftermarket parts that resulted in a beautiful representation of a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-Door Hardtop. This three year project started in about 1999 with the purchase of the main vehicle. My father and mother restored this vehicle themselves at their rural Virginia home.They spent many countless hours on this "Frame Off" restoration that was completed in 2002. The paint was applied by my father in their garage that was dust controlled to the best of his ability, however there are some minor imperfections that will be noticed by the more discriminating bidder.The finished poduct was the lifelong dream of my mother to own a beautifully restored classic from her childhood. My parents are so meticulous about this vehicle that I, who am a "forty somthing" year old mature adult has never been allowed to drive this vehicle. They did let me sit on the front passenger side once! LOL! Since completion the vehicle has been carefully senior adult driven about 7,000 miles. We consider it to be a "Street Rod". It has mainly been driven to local car shows and Drive Inns since it's restoration. Details are as follows: Engine: A 1974 Chevrolet 350 CID Bored .30 Over. Crank Kit, Cam Bushings, Bottom End Camshaft, Lifters,.30 Over Pistons&Rings. Complete Valve Restoration. New HP Oil Pump, Fuel Pump, and Edelbrock 650 CFM Carb. Transmission: A 1974 Rebuilt Turbo 350 Chassie: Original fuel tank restored and painted with new sending unit and fuel lines. New Front Springs,Upper and Lower Ball Joints,New inner/outer tie rod ends. New rear springs & bushings. Frame and other parts were painted. Brakes: Power Disc Brake Kit Including Booster and Master Cylinder, calipers, Pads, Shoes,Brake lines,Wheel bearings, and Seals. Rear axle: Original Rear With New Bearings, Gaskets ,Seals and U-Joints. Engine Compartment: 605 Power Steering Box, "Vintage Air" AC/Heat Kit, Aluminum Cross Flow Radiator Kit With Condenser. New Starter, New Alternator 65Amp. Complete Wiring Harness. New "Optima Gel Cell" Battery. Interior: "Dakota" Digital Guages, Custom "La Cars" Steering Wheel. Retrofit Radio/Cassette player. Burgandy Cloth Interior (restored by my mother). Exterior: Paint color: Metallic Iris Clearcoat (looks pinkish purple in different lighting situations). Wheels are Cragar S/S 15x8 with BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires. The only thing this vehicle needs is a new home! The winning bidder is responsible for inspection and shipping of this vehicle.
