Up for auction is an awesome 1941 Continental Coupe. This car has been sitting in storage for several decades and was one of 800 or so made that year.. I bought it from the wife of the owner who died. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to restore it. The body is solid and the seams have been filled in to create a "smooth" look. It does not have the original V-12. It has an 8 cylinder Cadillac engine that I believe is from the 1950's and is missing the following: the water pump, pulleys, alternator and radiator-basically the engine is complete from the front of the block back. The motor spins when I put a breaker bar on the crank, but I am not sure if it will run. It has the rare accessory overdrive transmission which allows the owner to pull a knob out on the left lower dash to put it into overdrive. The car really looks solid, but it does have rust in some spots. I have shown where in the pictures. Between each side of the back seat, there are holes (shown in pictures) and in the trunk where the floorpan meets the wheel well. The car rolls and steers, but the breaks do not work. The interior seats have been restored and are in very nice shape with no rips/tears. I have the Illinois tite dated from 1975. The original radio is not shown, but will come with the car. The radio will need to be serviced. What you see is what you get and all I have for the car. The picture on the ground shows the battery hold-down, hood emblem, front chrome piece, and some interior parts. In the picture, the front bumper looks to sag towards the ends. That is because I do not have all of the bumper brackets connected. They come with the car however and will straighten the bumper out so it is straight. If the winning bidder wants to have the car shipped, I will work with the buyer as long as they do the leg work on shipping arrangements. I HAVE LOCATED THE CONTINENTAL KIT WHICH INCLUDES THE TIRE HOUSING, BRACKET, AND TIRE. IT IS ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION AND WILL COME WITH THE CAR. I CAN'T POST PICTURES OF IT, BECAUSE I HAVE THE MAXIMUM ALLOTMENT POSTED ALREADY.
