FANTASTIC CLASSIC 1971 MGB ROADSTER This rare 'steel bumper' MG convertible has a rebuilt engine (new cylinder head) with a completely refurbished underbody and offers a new transmission, brakes, fuel pump, battery, heat blower, gas tank, wipers, wiring harness, soft-top, and so much more. The odometer has also been replaced, but kept showcasing its original 84,918 miles, therefore only 393 miles have been put on the vehicle since it's reconstruction. This is a gorgeous 1971 MGB roadster that runs and looks excellent! This beautiful bright red convertible is a 4 speed manual transmission and comes with its five original wire wheels (including the spare), and a desirable luggage rack. The new soft top has a slight slit on the right passenger side near the rear window, which is unnoticeable, but may require a small patch. Additionally, the vehicle does not have a radio. We purchased the car originally for $5000 and have since put over $15,000 into it to make it safe and reliable (We have all the invoices and documentation for the work performed on the vehicle, which we'll provide to the next owner). I drove an MGB in 1971 when they were current - However, I sold my first MG years ago and longed for another every since... So as a surprise for my birthday a few years ago, I received this one as a gift from my family. It has been fantastic and I love the car, but I am currently in the process of moving and I would like to find it a good home.
