THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!! NO RESERVE!!!! NO RESERVE!!! NO RESERVE!!!! NO RESERVE!!!!!! Up for Sale: 1947 Chrysler Windsor Hot Rod Rat Rod. Car is treated in a nice matte black paint job, with a burgundy and black velvet seat covers. The original dashboard is in remarkable shape, complete with original radio. This car is nearly rust free with no significant rot anywhere. It has the original 6 cyl spitifre flathead engine, and good working 3 speed fluid drive transmission, with good clutch. The brakes work well, and even the parking brake works. It has 4 brand new wide white wall tires ($900). Driver side rear door window is cracked, but still works. All windows and doors are in good working order. The trunk latch works, and has an interior hood latch cable. The headliner is a little sad, but still hanging up. I received this car in lieu of payment on a debt from a friend, and I have no use for it. Issues: The engine was refitted with new pistons and rings less than 1000 miles ago, and it was re-assembled with original bearings. So, needless to say, 1 bearing spun. ALL parts to reassemble the engine are in the trunk. The engine is apart, with crank remaining in the block. The crankshaft needs to be removed and turned. Car comes with a new set of original bearings, which are no good for this crankshaft, as it needs to be turned ($200). It has a newer battery, and charging system is good working order. Radiator is solid, but the heater core is disconnected (unsure of it's condition). This was as a perfectly running driving car, before the engine trouble. This can be repaired withOUT taking the engine out, only hand tools!! This is an easy fix for you hot rodders with a couple days of free time. Please call (908) 256-6259 (Jesse).
