Vehicle Detail
Up for sale here is my 1979 Lincoln Mark V Continental. This car is ALL original, and is in excellent shape, especially for a 31-year-old vehicle. Everywhere this vehicle goes, people tell me how much they like it. I always get compliments about its style and its great condition. PLEASE NOTE: The attached pictures indicate the car's current condition. They were taken on May 13, 2010. It's got a 6.6L (400 cubic inch) V8 engine with plenty of power, and only has 100,350 miles on it. It does not leak or burn oil at all. Despite being a large, powerful engine, it is very quiet, as it should be in a luxury vehicle. The automatic transmission functions perfectly and shifts very smoothly. The transmission fluid is clean, with no metal shavings and no burnt smell. There is NO slip or hesitation with this tranny. One of my favorite features about this car is its smooth-ride suspension. Riding in this car is like floating on a cloud. The ride is smooth, and the suspension is the smoothest I have ever ridden in. Despite this vehicle’s size, it is very graceful and it holds the road very well. The smooth leather interior is in excellent shape and shines very well with a little leather cleaner. There is no sag in the headliner, and the dash pad is as good as new with no cracks and no fading. While parked in the garage, I keep the battery connected to a battery charger/maintainer, so even the battery is in great shape. This Lincoln has always been garaged, and I never drive it in the rain or snow. This car has more luxury features than most modern vehicles. Here are some key features of this car: *Heated mirrors (for de-icing) *Rear window defrost *Power locks *Power windows (with power vent window) *Power antenna *Power trunk *6-way power front seats *Auto-dimming high beam headlights *Lighted key lock *Cruise control *Air conditioning (needs Freon recharge) *8-track AM/FM stereo …plus many more. This car has always easily passed Utah safety and emissions tests. I have the clean title in hand, too. These Mark Vs were only made for 3 years (from 1977 to 1979) and are getting quite rare. I've been told that the Lincoln Mark V is the longest 2-door car ever made. After the Mark V, Lincoln drastically changed the Mark-series styling in 1980, and they have never looked as good or stylish since. I hate to sell it, but I just don’t drive it as much as I would like to and I'm not much in to car shows, so I have to let someone else have the chance to enjoy this sweet ride. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I can store the vehicle for a few weeks after the sale upon request while you arrange pick up or shipping. Car is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Scott Cell: 801-455-1439 Email: use the "Contact Seller" link at top. Pictures below:
