If the terms of this auction are not adhered to, the car will be immediately relisted.You are bidding Good Condition 1978 Cadillac Fleetwood De Elegance with 61,000 original miles. The car does NOT have a title at this moment. We are working with the state on trying to obtain an abandoned car title but I may not get the title before the auction ends. No Guarantee’s! Car is being SOLD FOR PARTS only or for demo derby use! You will get a Bill of Sale. If we get the title we will give it to the winning bidder. The black exterior is fair to good with no major rust issues or damage. The interior is a light grey and the roof has a black padded vinyl top. Car does run and drive somewhat, but has no brakes because of a rusted out brake lines. The carburetor needs work. Currently there is no battery but it will start up and move if a battery is installed (I just started it today). The car was last on the road in the mid 80’s and has sat both inside and outside since that time. The car will need to be towed. The Body is decent - no major dents or damage but does have many paint issues from minor surface rust in places (mostly on the trunk), 3 dime-sized dents around the body, many scratches and some oxidation. The body is not all that bad - wheel wells are intact and the rockers look solid. All the moldings are on the car and are decent shape - shiny, straight and for the most part dent and pit free. The chrome bumpers are straight, and shiny but the rear has a rust hole starting on the driver-side edge. All the glass looks nice, no cracks or delamination. Weatherstripping and rubber are in good shape. The padded vinyl top is OK and damage free but does have some minor discoloration and needs to be cleaned. Front passenger-side chrome headlight bezel is cracked. No restoration work was done to the car except for washing it. This would make a nice winter beater or driver if the title is found or the state issues one. The Interior is Light grey and is in fair to good shape. No rips or tear or major stains but rodents have been living in the car for years so there are droppings and some minor stains on the drivers door panel and carpet because of them. The headliner has dropped. Seats and door panels seem to be in good condition with very minor wear. Carpet is fair with stains. Most everything works from what I can test (power windows, power locks, lights, directionals, radio, wipers, and blower motor. The A/C is not working. Driver-side door lock control is not working but does work on the passenger side. Standard and Optional Equipment on this car are... bumper impact strips, clock, automatic glove box light, High Energy Ignition, inside hood release, lamp monitors, remote-control left-hand outside mirror, automatic trunk light, map light, power six-way front-seat adjuster, 4-wheel power disc brakes, power door locks, power windows, power steering, AM/FM radio including power antenna, Soft Ray tinted glass, spare tire cover, tamper-resistant odometer, Turbo Hydra-matic transmission and cruise control. The Drivetain has a 425ci engine which runs but the carb needs to be rebuilt . The engine does not smoke, leak anything major, make any unusual noises or over heat. The car did run for around 30 minutes without problems. Under the hood most things are rusty or have corrosion on them. I did drive it around and it steers fine but has no brakes. The transmission operated from what limited driving I did. The brake rotors are very rusted. Tires are dry rotted but still hold air. Cars has all 4 turbine-style hub caps. The Undercarriage is somewhat rusty from years of salty road conditions and sitting outside for years. The floors and frame still look solid, should be good enough for demo derby rules. Other info: The factory jack and all accessories are in the trunk. Again, no attempt was made to restore this car! Just make it presentable for auction. I recommend the Cadillac be trailered since it sat for so long and has no brakes.Car comes with 2 sets of factory keys, No Title (as yet) but a Bill of Sale will be provided.
