Vehicle Detail
2003 Subaru WRX Salvage Title..I want this vehicle gone so make me an offer you are comfortable with and who knows I may be comfortable with it as well. Purchased this vehicle in 2006 from a man in Houston, TX who restores salvaged Subarus. As far as I know the vehicle had just been completed prior to my purchase of it. The car has never been smoked in to my knowledge. The car came with and still has Tein lowering springs, the after-market wheels pictured, after-market crank pulley, and an after-market gauge cluster which allows the driver to change between green and blue gauges at night. Since owning the car I have replaced the clutch with one similar to factory spec., installed a Worx fully adjustable blow off valve, (The blow off valve can be adjusted in 25% increments between full atmosphere discharge and complete recirculation), installed a Vibrant cat-back exhaust (I will also include the factory cat-back), a ProSport boost gauge with shutdown sequence, and the brake pads and rotors have just recently been replaced. If you have never heard the distinct sound of Subaru's boxer engine, NOW is the time! The car is a blast to drive and is incredibly quick for a four cylinder. The car does have a few issues which I intend to honestly and accurately depict. The air conditioner system has a small leak in-between the evaporator core and the expansion valve. The fan and compressor operate correctly but freon will not stay inside the system therefore the car does not blow cold air. The check engine light does not turn on and has not since I have owned the vehicle. This may be a necessary fix depending on your states inspection requirements. The center differential does not function properly on occasion and only when the front wheels are turned at a very sharp angle. This causes the car to slightly hop when turning the car at its sharpest radius. The car does consume about one to one and a half quarts of oil in-between oil changes. I have been told this is common for Subaru's of this age. I would like to note here that only Mobile 1 full synthetic oil has been used in the car during my ownership of the vehicle. The vehicle will also need four new tires as one is almost completely bald and the other three are not far behind. The interior condition could be described as good to great for a car of this age. There are no tears in any of the seats and only some slight discoloration within the removable floor mats. The car does come with an after-market stereo which is Ipod compatible and I have the factory double din stereo which can be included. The exterior of the vehicle is fair. There are numerous paint chips scattered throughout the vehicles body. The front lip of the car has road rash which is pictured and the driver's side a-pillar has had the paint rubbed off due to bent windshield wiper linkage which was acquired last winter. The linkage has been replaced with Subaru OEM linkage. There are also two hail dents on the front hood of the vehicle just above the grille. Also all four wheels have touches of curb rash which is slightly visible on the polished lip of the wheels. The vehicle can be picked up locally and will ship within the U.S. but the buyer must arrange and pay for all shipping costs acquired. This car is also being sold as-is here on Ebay and also locally so I the owner reserve the right to end the auction early should it become sold locally. I will gladly take pictures upon request of specific parts of this Subaru.
