You are bidding on a very unique Ford F-550, with the Ford 7.3 Power Stroke with about 60,500 total miles. (I had to select the F-450 add as there was not a F-550 choice.) This truck has the Fontaine Classic Traveler custom bed installed on the F-550 super heavy 550 frame. As you can see, the bed is cut down about 8" from the normal bed height. This allows a very safe and easy hook-up to a fifth wheel or a goose neck trailer and allows an unobstructed view out of the rear window. The bed exterior is a very heavy fiberglass, with a remarkable steel understructure applied over the F-550 frame. The exterior and interior of the truck is near perfect with no tears, rips or holes on the leather interior. The truck was apparently keep inside all of its life by the previous owner as have I. There are a few paint chips on the gas tank cover and a small dent in the driver side door...see photos. This mod is no longer offered by Fontaine, as far as I know. I am sure it must have been very expensive considering the way it is built. The nice feature of this 550 is that the truck rides like a F-350, but with a much higher total gross combined weight of around 30,000 lbs. The gas milage runs 11.3 mpg loaded or unloaded. I am listing all of the features of this truck starting with those specific to the Fontaine mod. and moving on into the other features of the truck. -38 gal aux tank with auto transfer pump system, ( 72 gal total ) -hidden goose neck ball in bed of truck ( under fifth wheel attachment, cannot be seen in photos ) -all fiberglass exterior. -lighted side step running boards. -air suspension with height control switch located in cabin...(the continuous duty air pump cycles off and on depending on the load and how long the truck has been sitting), the pump can also be controlled from the cabin dash. -approx. 30,000 gcvw, truck weighs 9,500 lbs. -supper heavy duty fifth wheel slider. -rear back-up and voice alert camera integral to GPS. -heavy steel bed with spray-in liner. -Pinoneer Premier CD/DVD player with GPS and back-up camera. -rear DVD player with 3 wireless headsets. - new TSP performance chip model # 1180401...6 positions from 50 to 140 hp increase with high idle position.( I have only used the first position of 50 hp boost. ) -voice/visual activated rear back-up alert. -tires are 80% remaining with one new. -two heavy duty tool boxes, one for spare tire. -two new batteries last year. -complete transmission service at last oil change. -extensive front end work, tie rod ends, etc. -afe performance exhaust system with SS pipes. I may have forgotten some of the details, but I can assure you will not be disappointed with this truck and it will haul most anything you may need to haul. I have had this truck for about a year, but is just too big of a rig for my little 28 foot toy-box. I did repaired a pin hole leak in the air tank which contains the air pressure for the rear suspension system. This tank may need replacing some time in the future. I checked on a new one and they are from 75.00 for a steel to 300.00 for a stainless steel one. The truck starts and runs perfect. I just got back from Ruidoso, NM pulling my fifth wheel over 8,500 foot mountains with no problems. This truck is ready to go and needs nothing.
