Vehicle Detail
Here it is folks... A local farmer bought this brand new in 1972... After a few years of light service (averaging 4600 miles per year) it was parked in his garage and has not seen the sunlight since 1977. The mileage is origional not a doubt about it. There is no rust through anywhere on this car. There are a few spots with surface rust that will clean up. Please expect to do a complete repaint on this vehicle as the origional paint is in need of refinishing (it is near 40 years old). We did need to pull the cylinder heads and have them reconditioned due to sitting around for 33 years. The engine now starts and runs excellent. There is no rodent damage anywhere. There are no holes in the trunk. There are no electrical issues. Top goes up and down like it was new. Transmission shifts as if it were new. All accessories work. Carpet and seats appear as if they were near new. Dashboard is excellent as you can see. All gauges work. Door panels are in perfect condition. The new owner can get in this car and drive it home many thousands of miles without concern, it has been serviced and used several times since this summer when we took possession. This car even has the original bias ply tires on it! Expect an amazing example of Detroit iron in it's origional factory condition. This car is like a time capsule. Good luck, bid with confidence this car is the real deal. If you have additional questions you may reach my cell @ 518- two one zero- 7536. On Sep-13-10 at 14:27:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Out of respect for ebay and the kind people who have placed bids thus far I will not sell the vehicle early. I will let this auction end and the highest bidder will get the car if it exceeds our very reasonable reserve. Thank you to everyone who is active in this auction and bid with confidence I am not going to sell it out from under you. Thank you again for your time and interest, Jim.On Sep-21-10 at 18:23:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Do not call and ask me how much it will take to end the auction early. I am getting 10 calls per day asking the same question. This is an auction. The car will sell to the highest bidder. The reserve is off. I am not going to end the auction when I have so many people watching and bidding. This car will sell to the highest bidder at the end of the auction.
