Vehicle Detail
Relisting do to fraudulent bidder I have a good condition eight-six up for sale. I've owned the car for four and a half years now. Car runs and drives, starts up no problem. Since I've owned it, I've replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, front brake pads, front wheel bearings, and water pump. The only thing I can see visibly leaking on it currently is power steering fluid. It's dripping from the rack and pinion, the dust boots are torn, and the seals in the rack are more than likely shot. Not a terribly fast leak though. The car runs good, but at times it seems to run rich, or like it's not wanting to fire on all the plugs. Either the carb needs to be rebuilt, or the distributer or plug cables need to be replaced. After a while, it clears itself up, and runs strong. Transmission shifts and functions great. In the winter of '09, December 20th to be exact (I remember distinctly because I was extremely pissed), I caught a small patch of ice in the middle of a residential intersection as I was turning left heading to work. Once the tires caught the ice, it slid directly sideways into the curb, impacting both wheels at the same time. I assure you, I was not trying to drift, and this car has never been drifted or raced. The impact threw out the alignment and put the front wheel / hub into a very slight positive camber, so I knew immediately something was bent at the right front. Took it to Toyota, got the ball joint replaced, an outer tie rod, and got it aligned. Well, still has a slight positive camber, so it's more than likely the spindle / strut tube that's slightly bent, possibly the A-arm. I was going to get this repaired but ended up having to put it off. The back right also makes a whirring noise from the impact, not sure what's causing this, but I don't see anything visibly bent, such as the four links or axle, wheel still sits straight like it should. There are 2 or 3 spots that leak rain water into the rear, hatch area and the right back window. I have them marked with a sharpie, as shown in pictures. The interior is currently stripped out of it, but I have every piece, except for the carpet, and hatch privacy cover. Those were in god awful shape from the previous owner. I purchased the car with 110,xxx on the clock, now sits at 122,799. I hate, hate to sell, but I have two corollas, this '84, and an '85 GTS coupe that's in my storage unit. The GTS is the one I'm going to build up, and I was driving this one as a daily for the entire four and a half years I've had it, until I recently purchased a newer vehicle for a daily. So now this one just sits, maybe driving once a month. I love having two eight six's, but honestly I don't need two, because if I have two, I'm going to want to mod them both, and the GTS is already a $25,000 project in the wait. I can't spare another $25k for this one too. The car essentially looks exactly the same as in these pics, only difference is it currently has JDM front and rear bumpers, and celica supra wheels. The JDM bumpers and supra wheels are not included in the sale, as I want them for my GTS coupe. The aftermarket seats are also not included, I don't even have those anymore. If you'd like any other detailed pictures, let me know. I reserve the right to end auction early, as car is for sale locally.
