Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my '99 CR250. I bought this bike about six years ago from a guy on ebay and it's been a great bike. The original owner was an MX racer and I converted the bike for woods / trail duty. I took off the race pipe and put on a pro circuit forestry approved silencer while leaving the FMF race header. I put a MOOSE header protector on which comes in handy as well as an aluminum skid plate. There is a 6oz flywheel weight to make the power more mellow for woods riding. I have a tall seat on the bike (I'm 6'5") and I have tall Faast Flexx bars. These bars the the bees knees. I hurt a wrist years ago and wouldn't be able to ride a motorcycle without these bars. They reduce fatigue and you'll almost never get arm pump. They're amazing and new they go for close to $400. I also have a large capacity IMS clear tank which is great for trail riding, you'll never have to stress about running out of fuel when your friends on the stock bikes are nervous about making it out alive. There is a new top end on the bike, a wiesco lightweight piston, a newer clutch with around five hours of riding and a newer chain, sprockets and rear Dunlop GeoMax tire. All have around five hours on them. This is a super dependable, really fast, fun bike that you can get into for not much money. Forget the high rebuild costs of a FOUR STROKE, stick with a smoker like this. I've had many, many smiles and great times on this bike. I have a number of bikes, know bikes, maintain them properly and have always taken good care of it. Thanks for looking! ***The only weak part of the bike is the plastics. The right radiator shroud has a piece missing and all the plastics are showing wear and tear. These are all the originals! The bike also has a newer pair of wide, super duper comfy pegs, about double the thickness of the stockers. The suspension has also been done by RACE TECH and is dialed in for a 220ish lb rider. The rear shock was rebuilt three years ago but doesn't have many miles on it since the bike hasn't been ridden much for the last two seasons, just sat in a heated building and started from time to time. I've also uploaded some more pics showing the tire, the cases, the pegs, etc. Thanks for looking!
