1964 Corvair MonzaConvertible Up for your consideration and at “NO RESERVE”, is this nice 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible, serial # 40967W270434. This Corvair Monza Convertible is showing 68k miles and is equipped with GMs horizontally opposed air cooled 110 hp 6 cylinder motor and 2 speed automatic transmission. The cars painted in a GM Datona Blue with a White convertible top and blue interior. This car looks nice and is a good driver quality collector car. It drives and runs well but could use some carburetor tuning to make it a bit smoother at stop signs. This Monza was purchased new at Le Pointe Chevrolet in Charlotte NC and has been in the southern states ever since. This car is equipped with radial tires, 3 bar wire hubcaps and a somewhat rare power top option. The paint, body and interior are all in what I would call driver quality condition as you can see from the photos and the car has solid floors pans with no rust issues. There is a bit of rust around the trunk seal area which should be an easy repair for a body shop. The windshield has a small crack in it but there is an additional windshield with the car if you wish. It drives well and has no transmission or brake issues. Everything works as it should. These old Corvairs seem to get the attention everywhere you go. With our current economy, the collector car market is a great place to invest your funds for future growth. If kept in its current condition, this 47 year old convertible should do nothing but go up in value while giving its owner plenty of pleasure behind the wheel. To sum it up, this is a nice 47 year old collector car that could be a unique and economical daily driver. It has solid floor pans, trunk pan and the body shows well as you see in the pictures. The interior is clean but could use some new carpet and a seat cover on the passenger side due to a 1 inch slit that can be seen in photos. The convertible top is in good condition but the back plastic window would look better if replaced as it has turned color where it was folded with the top down. I believe this car is and could be an excellent investment opportunity while also being an enjoyable piece of 60’s history that you can drive and enjoy turn key.
