(Please don’t ask – I won’t respond.) You are bidding on a very nice 1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham with 8,439 original miles. The car appears to be 100% original down to the tires. The exterior is Dark Brown Metallic (Chesterfield Brown) with a nice beige interior and Tan padded vinyl top. This car has many options including working air conditioning. Car starts right up, runs, drives, steers and stops fine. The car was last on the road in 1986 according to the ’86 plates on the car. The Body is very nice, shiny and straight but does have one tiny ding on the pass. side rear door. All the moldings are on the car and are very nice, shiny, straight and for the most part dent and pit free. The chrome bumpers are straight, nice and shiny with no pitting. All the glass looks nice, no cracks or delamination. Note: All of the glass has the VIN number etched into it by a security company. Weatherstripping and rubber are good to excellent shape. The padded vinyl top is nice and damage free but does have one area that looks to be stained from a very old bird dropping. No restoration work was done to the original paint and top by me except for washing the car. The paint is in excellent condition and is very shiny but will need a little polishing to remove the light oxidation that is visible in certain light. The Interior is Beige and is in very nice shape. No cracks in the dash or tilt steering wheel. Most everything works. All power windows, locks and trunk work. Radio is am/fm with 8-track and power antenna works. A/C works but there is a control that needs to be replaced as it does not engage the clutch on the compressor. I did bypass the control as a test and the clutch does engage. The system does work and it gets cold. Clock works, wipers work, and gauges as far as I can tell all work. The interior has no bad odors or evidence of mold or mildew. Also includes carpeted foot rests. Standard and Optional Equipment on this car are... automatic climate control, bumper impact strips, clock, automatic glove box light, High Energy Ignition, inside hood release, lamp monitors, remote-control left-hand outside mirror, litter receptacle, automatic trunk light, map light, power six-way front-seat adjuster, power front disc brakes, power door locks, power windows, power steering, AM/FM radio including power antenna and 8-track cassette, Soft Ray tinted glass, spare tire cover, tamper-resistant odometer, Turbo Hydra-matic transmission, washer fluid level indicator, carpeted floor mats, carpeted rear foot rests and steel-belted whitewall tires. The Drivetrain is a 500ci engine which runs smooth and idles nice after sitting so long. It is still running on the original gas with new gas and additive mixed in the tank. The engine does not smoke, make any unusual noises or overheat. The car did run for over an hour while troubleshooting the a/c without problems. The car ran for another 30 minutes at idle with the air going full blast and no overheating or engine light! I did drive it around and it runs good and steers fine. No major oil leaks or transmission leaks. The transmission operates as it should from what limited driving I can do. No slipping or other problems. The engine compartment looks factory new with very little degradation to the finishes of the metal parts. The Undercarriage is in great condition. No rust anywhere. Everything looks new! The floors and frame look like new. Other info: There are some scrapes on the point of the front bumper and a small scrape on the passenger side front bumper end down low. There are 3 small cracks in the rear driver side vinyl bumper filler panel. Spare tire looks original. The carpeting will need some minor cleaning from the limited use it saw. The factory jack and all accessories are in the trunk. Trunk liner is in nice condition with no rips or damage. Again no attempt was made to restore this car! Just clean and make it presentable for auction. It will need to be detailed to make one excellent example of a 1976 Cadillac. I recommend the Cadillac be trailered since it sat for so long. It could be driven onto a trailer or an auto-transport without the use of a winch. Car can be viewed, started but not driven per “The State of Ohio Court” since there is no insurance on the vehicle. Car comes with one set of factory keys, clear Ohio title, and some factory paperwork - no dealer invoice. Due to space limitations and subsequent auction listings, the car must be paid for and picked up with in 7 days unless both parties agree on other arrangements. If the terms of this auction are not adhered to, the car will be immediately relisted. Shipping is the winners’ responsibility. I can help with local shipping and work with your shipper. If shipping out of the country I do have a shipper that can help make your arrangements. He ships mostly to the Scandinavian countries. Our listing represents the best of our knowledge obtained from transporting, cleaning and evaluating the vehicle – but there are no guarantees.
