Vehicle Detail

I am Tom Klein, doing business as Tom’s Cool Cars An Independent North Carolina Licensed & Bonded Dealer My Motto: If it’s not cool, I don’t sell it! I specialize in Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, all generation Corvette’s, European high performance cars, American Classics & anything else that’s cool. It’s a lifelong racing, collecting and restoration hobby that morphed into a semi-retirement business a few years back. Many of the cars I offer are from my own collection. I attempt to be as complete as possible with my descriptions and have posted 24 photos. However, if you have any questions I'll be happy to discuss this excellent Camaro at length. You can call me at 336-372-7400 between 8:30 AM & 6 PM Eastern time any day. I can also be reached via direct email at: tom@tomscoolcars.com Thank you. You may also want to check out my COOL CUSTOM 1948 FORD COUPE STREET ROD. Simply click on “Other Offerings” under “Seller Info” in the right hand column above. I WILL CONSIDER A CORVETTE TRADE. PREFERABLY A C5 Z-06, BUT RUN WHAT YOU HAVE BY ME. 1968-1973 C3, 1994 TO 1996 C4 (6 Speed preferred) OR C5. CLEAN, LOW OR REASONABLY LOW MILEAGE AND NO DAMAGE HISTORY A MUST. PROVENANCE A PLUS. I HAVE MY WINTER RESTO-PROJECTS LINED UP SO I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A PROJECT VEHICLE AT THIS TIME. 1968 Camaro Z28 Clone All Work Recently Completed. Originally a Factory V8 Powered Camaro. Now under the Cowl Induction Hood is a GM Performance Vortec Head Crate Engine Z28 Badges & Paint Scheme in Corvette Millennium Yellow Please Note: Millenium Yellow is a difficult color to accurately capture with even a quality camera such as the Canon EOS I use. The color in the outdoor photos, which were taken with a cloud cover, appears darker than it actually is. It also appears a bit lighter than actual in some of the photos that were taken in bright light or with a flash. I realize ebay is where buyers come to get a bargain, and this is exactly that! This Camaro is being offered at No Reserve with a more than reasonable (stupid low) minimum opening bid of $18,750 because I fully expect it will be bid up by at least a couple thousand more. During no reserve auctions I always get asked what I will take to end the auction early. $22,500 is a great price for this car and $22,500 will buy it and successfully conclude the auction early in your favor (car is presently advertised elsewhere with a $25,500 asking price). However, if no one steps up to the plate and grabs it early it will go to the highest bidder, even if there is only one bidder at $18,750, which would be a virtual steal for this car! In the unlikelihood no one bids the price reverts back to a firm $22,500 purchase price immediately upon conclusion of the auction. So please don’t insult this car any more than it is being insulted already at $18,750 by asking me to sell it for less. That is not a purchase price unless, of course, you happen to be the only (very lucky) bidder during this straight shooting, straight up, no shill bidders, no hocus pocus, one time only ebay auction offer. If there are no bids please do not expect to come to me after the auction and buy it for $18,750. The purchase price will be $22,500. This is a great opportunity and you have to man-up and bid if you want to sieze it. You must participate in the auction if you want to try to buy the car for less than $22,500. I'm very fair but an ornery and stubborn old Hot Rodder and I'm far from desperate, so I will not change my mind. This car is worth every penny of $22,500, and more. If you end up the high bidder at anything less you will be one Lucky Dog! VIN: 124378N3338148. BODY CODE: 68-12437NOR38127. TRIM CODE: 712 (black interior) Originally Matador Red with a Black Vinyl top. -Equipped with factory power steering with a new aluminum mount. -Equipped with original optional factory front disc brakes. Significant funds have been invested in the engine, a high flow Vortec head small block which is essentially a Corvette LT-1 engine that’s carbureted instead of fuel injected. Vortec head design has also carried on into the LS series of Corvette engines. This engine is equipped with a Comp Cam's Roller Cam and complete Comp Cams Valve Train Assembly including Roller Rockers and Manley Pushrod Guides. A Holly 650 Carb fed by an Edelbrock fuel pump and breathing fresh air via a cowl induction hood sits atop an Edelbrock high rise aluminum intake manifold. Ceramic Coated Hooker Headers and a plumbing system with very free flowing Flowmaster mufflers handle the exhaust. 350 Turbo Automatic Transmission. This Camaro is eye catching and it sounds and performs great. When you get on it this car hooks up and goes A to B in a hurry. And any time it is parked for more than a few minutes it draws admirers. Engine Accessories also include: -Light Weight Aluminum Crankshaft Pulley. -Light Weight Aluminum Water Pump Pulley -Chrome Water Pump. -Electric Cooling Fan on front of the radiator plus an engine driven mechanical fan. Idles & runs cool. -Stock body. Not tubbed. -Sub frames are now connected. -The undercarriage and frame are excellent. -Floor pan sections replaced. -The body panels are excellent. No Rust. No Bondo. -New front shocks -New rear air shocks. -New front bumper -New front spoiler. -New rear bumper. -New wheel well trim. -All other trim either new or in every good condition. -Glass is very good. Still has original Astro Ventilation glass in passenger door. -New Stainless Windshield Wiper Arms -New Window Seals. -New Window Felts. -New Door Seals. -New Trunk Lid Seal. -New interior including carpet, upholstery and headliner. -New Brake Pedal & Gas Pedal rubber. -Aftermarket gauges include a Sun Tach and Sun Pro oil pressure and water temp gauges. -Equipped with the original optional factory front disc brakes. An aftermarket brake bias valve is installed. -Foose 20 Inch rear and 17 inch front “Nitrous” wheels shod with new Sumitomo tires (about $3,000 worth of tires & rims). If you prefer the original Rally Rims and tires you could sell what’s on the car, buy the Rally’s, and pocket a lot of cash. This is a very solid, very nice and very good performing '68 Camaro . Properly cared for it will never be worth less, and from this price point in this down economy it will no doubt appreciate, probably considerably. This was easily a $30,000+ car just two years ago and it is a bargain at this price even in today’s market. If you are seriously looking for a '68 Camaro this is a great opportunity. If you’ve shopped the market you know nice examples are priced in the mid to high $20’s, at least. And, as the saying goes, you couldn’t build one for this kind of money. TERMS: JUST LIKE BARRETT-JACKSON THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE NO RESERVE AUCTION. THE HIGH BIDDER WINS THE CAR. PLEASE DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU ARE AS SERIOUS AS A HEART ATTACK AND HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND AT THE MOMENT YOU BID. IF YOU HAVE ZERO EBAY FEEDBACK PLEASE CALL ME BEFORE BIDDING. THANK YOU.
