New baby on the way forces the sale of this Original survivor 1966 Pontiac Grand Prix.389 4bbl auto trans w/2.72 non posi rear. I even have the original Keys! I have owned this vehicle for a year, and it starts,shifts,runs and drives like it must have over 40 years ago. My review shows Original drivetrain which appears to never been taken apart is in fine condition and has never given me a lick of problems.Prior owner upgraded 4bbl carb, intake and air cleaner, but I have the factory original parts which will be included with sale. When I bought it last year I drove it home from upstate Vermont to my home near Cape Cod, what a great ride. This vehicle has had one professional high quality repaint covering solid straight panels, in a beautiful sports car Red. While it is an original GM color, it is not the original color of the car and aside from a few small blemishes it looks like it was painted yesterday.. Inside, everything works except the clock and the original radio. I believe the clock would need to be rebuilt, and I believe the radio wiring was altered to accept the am/fm/cd player in dash. This is a Factory A/C car with a newly rebuilt compressor converted to 134-a.Please be aware that I just had these parts installed and while it functions and processes cold air, it seems a new Vent cable is needed to switch the vents to have the cold air enter the cabin. I have not, and do not plan to make this final repair due to time constraints.Car also has tilt wheel,power sterring,power brakes. In addition to the new a/c equipment, I have just had the dash redone and it looks awesome. I have also had the bumpers rechromed to a better than new shine. 5 brand new tires and jack kit have also been installed, and I have installed a brand new battery. The glass on this car is flawless. The original seats and the original interior are in remarkable condition. there are a few small blemishes on the trim of the back seat, and a small tear on the top side of the drivers side seat as seen in one of the pics. The carpet is in good shape and is complimented by new custom floor mats. With the economy the way it is and keeping in mind that it is a 40+ year old car with some age spots I have priced this far below the suggested value given By Hagerty's and other noted price guides.
