***73 VOLKSWAGEN THING RESTORED NEW ENGINE READY TO ENJOY*** ***RUNS GREAT --- LOOKS GREAT --- AWESOME VEHICLE*** This is a beautiful 1973 Volkswagen Thing that has been restored. The owner/restorer asked me to list the vehicle. He used to work at a restoration shop so this car is very, very nice. The body has been painted a bright yellow and is very straight with no rust. The seats were rebuilt and recovered. There are custom floor mats for both front and back. The engine has its original block but everything else was replaced with all new parts. It has a new clutch set and flywheel. Brakes are new. This vehicle runs and drives great. To be perfect it only needs a new top and new side windows. The owner has the original side glass and they are not in very good shape. Or if you live where you don't have to worry about a top or side windows this vehicle is ready to enjoy and have some fun. Tires are nearly new and have plenty of tread. This Thing was originally white and has had all the floor pans replaced. The top folds easily and the windshield will fold forward and you can remove all the doors. It does need a new top or you could go topless if you live where the weather is nice. The Thing has the correct exhaust system with dual mufflers that exit through the bumper. Looks great with the bright yellow paint, black wheels and thin whitewalls. You can drive it home. Engine was completely rebuilt and runs fine. What would they say if you pulled up in this? She's a beauty - trunk opens and closes easily as does the engine cover. Interior has black bucket seats in front and four on the floor. The seats were rebuilt and covered. It has all the seat belts. It has a simple dash with one large gauge. Sun visors and new windshield. The owner will include the old windshield.
