Vehicle Detail

Killer 1950 Ford Shoebox Custom for sale. I've owned this car for about 6 years. I bought it from a man in Arizona who bought it from the original builder in California. It is a beautiful dependable custom, built around a solid car. The rebuild was done about 10 years ago, and I have recently added a top quality A/C system and updated the adjustable suspension. I'm selling it for the same reason most hot rodders sell their cars.....too many damn projects, and I'm running out of space. Here are the details: The Car: started life as a 1950 ford Custom Deluxe. It was initially sold in California and remained there until its rebirth. It is very well preserved and has retained its original floors and panels. Body Mods: A show stopping 3" chopp that makes the car look 100 miles long. Frenched lights and antennae. I first saw the car at Good Guys back in 2005 where it won "Best chopped and dropped" category. The paint still looks great Drive train: 302 ford, mild cam, c4 trans, 9 inch rear. All Ford. Drive train is not too hot rodded dependable and cruises easy at highway speeds. Approx 15-16,000 miles since rebuild. Wheels and tires: 15 inch chrome steelies with wide white radials. Tires are still good but the white walls are a little beat-up. There is some scraping on the right front white wall Frame and suspension: Frame is original and sectioned in the rear to clear axle. The original builder installed an air bag system. I very recently had it updated with a state of art Air ride auto leveling system. This suspension is fast dependable and one of the best features of the car. The install was done professionally at Shortys lowrider shop in Houston. The first three pictures are the suspension at low, ride height and all the way up. Go to the following link to see the suspension in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLwQWRc6zUU The undercarriage does have some superficial rust and scrapes. I've tried to include it all in the pics. I don't think its anything that takes away from the integrity of the car, but will definitely need some work to get cleaned up. Brakes: Early ford drum not powered. Interior: The upholstery is done in bone colored tuck and roll vinyl. The dash is mostly original from the ford aside from the suspension control and A/C vents. The interior looks very nice but could have been done better. I always wanted to add dynamat to the sheet metal and replace the carpet. Air conditioning: New vintage air system that will freeze your ass off or keep you and your lady nice and warm. Sound system: Modern Sony explode hidden in the glove with two 6x9's in rear and mid ranges in the front kick panels. The stereo works fine but could also use some improvement with better speakers and an amp. No trades accepted. Overall this car is not perfect but a good looking and dependable custom. It would be alot of fun as is and with a little work could really be a show stopper. This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early for local sale. The front has the stock A arms with shocks airbags and what I think is a drop spindle. The rear has eliptical springs and shocks with a mount welded on to the diff axle housing for the air bag. The frame in the rear is kicked up behind the rear seat and kicked back down under the trunk. Aside from the adjustable suspension this is truly a 60's style custom and the ford in a ford set up makes it a rare novelty when compared to other cars of it's class.
