1968 289 Mustang Convertible Car is extremely solid, no rust, and has been subject to an earlier restoration. Everything under the car is solid and rust-proofed. Paintwork is in good overall condition with usual stone chips. Interior is original and shows expected signs of wear (small tear on driver seat base) but is not in any urgent need of repair. Prior to storing last winter, had the car completely checked over and serviced at local classic car garage and no major issues were found apart from sump plug leak - fixed (new oil pan) - and minor weep from trans selector. Since purchase have replaced Wheels, Steering Wheel, Front Struts, Springs and sway bar (lowered and uprated), oil pan and Front seat belts. Have new rear struts and leaf springs - not fitted, bought as kit with front suspension upgrade. Only driven approx 200 miles since purchase, hence selling - no time to use due to other commitments. Everything works, electrics, power hood, etc. Starts and drives extremely well. Can be driven and enjoyed exactly as is. Paintwork is very good. There are chips and minor dings, but nothing that needs dramatic attention. The car shows very well. It is not a show car, but it's not priced as one. The car has been restored and all rust areas have been repaired and sealed. The motor is clean and well detailed. The roof is excellent. The interior is showing it's age, but, again, nothing that needs care apart from the drivers seat if you were really fussy. The car can be driven with pride and nothing needs urgent attention. The radio is an old radio/cassette, I'd replace it soon if I kept it. The reserve is thousands below what I paid for the car less than a year ago.
