The Grand Safari used the grille and interior trim of the Bonneville and Grand Ville passenger car series, and most (but not all) examples were trimmed with woodgrain paneling on the sides and tailgate. This wagon has a wheel base of 116 inches, an overall length just shy of 18 feet, and weighs a little over 4000 pounds. It is powered by a 403 cubic inch V8. This Grand Safari has been very well maintained and is in great original condition. The engine compartment is impressively clean, and the engine purrs ever so quietly with little or no vibration. The big V8 coupled with the smooth shifting automatic transmission provide nice power and a very comfortable ride. The original paint still has gloss and minimal fading, the trim and badging is all present, and the simulated wood grain paneling is in good shape for being 30 plus years old. There are some minor dings in the roof and on the sides. The chrome is in great shape. The glass is all clean, clear, and appear to be crack and chip free. The car is equipped with the Pontiac style Rallye rims with beauty rings and center caps. They are wrapped in Uniroyal P225/75/R15 white wall tires with 75% or more tread left. The interior is odor free and the seats are without a single tear, crack, or noticable wear. The dash is crack free, the headliner is in good shape but has some small areas where sagging is present. All the electronic options seem to work well, the A/C system is in tact and cools nicely. This car is pretty much all original with the exception of the stereo and a chrome exhaust tip. It will come equipped with a Sony CD player and all the speakers are functional and sound good. This is a 2 owner car and by its condition one can tell it has had a pampered life. This is one excellent example of Pontiac's top of the line wagon here for sale. The Grand Safari was Pontiac's top-of-the-line full size station wagon offered from 1971-1978. The Grand Safari used the grille and interior trim of the Bonneville and Grand Ville passenger car series, and most (but not all) examples were trimmed with woodgrain paneling on the sides and tailgate. This wagon has a wheel base of 116 inches, an overall length just shy of 18 feet, and weighs a little over 4000 pounds. It is powered by a 403 cubic inch V8. This Grand Safari has been very well maintained and is in great original condition. The engine compartment is impressively clean, and the engine purrs ever so quietly with little or no vibration. The big V8 coupled with the smooth shifting automatic transmission provide nice power and a very comfortable ride. The original paint still has gloss and minimal fading, the trim and badging is all present, and the simulated wood grain paneling is in good shape for being 30 plus years old. There are some minor dings in the roof and on the sides. The chrome is in great shape. The glass is all clean, clear, and appear to be crack and chip free. The car is equipped with the Pontiac style Rallye rims with beauty rings and center caps. They are wrapped in Uniroyal P225/75/R15 white wall tires with 75% or more tread left. The interior is odor free and the seats are without a single tear, crack, or noticable wear. The dash is crack free, the headliner is in good shape but has some small areas where sagging is present. All the electronic options seem to work well, the A/C system is in tact and cools nicely. This car is pretty much all original with the exception of the stereo and a chrome exhaust tip. It will come equipped with a Sony CD player and all the speakers are functional and sound good. This is a 2 owner car and by its condition one can tell it has had a pampered life. This is one excellent example of Pontiac's top of the line wagon here for sale.
