Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 This is a good running vintage 1972 Honda SL 100 with 825 actual miles on it. It has the original tires...in good shape. The serial # is 1206041 It was driven for two years then put in a barn with a tarp over it for the past 36 years. (There is a 1974 license plate on the back yet.) The 4 cycle engine has excellent compression and power. It does not smoke or use oil. It has a 5 speed transmission and good tires. It is in very good condition, everything works, and it starts easily. The brakes, clutch, chain and sprocket are very good. The seat is not ripped. Some flaws: The front fender is wrinkled...bent back into shape….but I have a new fender (plastic, not original) I will include…you install. There are some black specks from spray paint on the gas tank…don’t know if they will come off. The exhaust has a spot that has been brazed but does not leak or rattle. It is missing the side battery cover. It needs a battery. I do not have a title for it. I will supply a bill of sale and a title can be applied for. The pictures were taken 8/8/10. Located near Reed City, Michigan 49655. One hour drive north of Grand Rapids. 20 miles south of Cadillac. 1 hour drive nw of Mt Pleasant. To ship it...I'm not crazy about the idea but it is an option...likely cost $400 or more. Local pickup is best. phone 231-832-9655 On Aug-29-10 at 18:27:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Took it for a drive. Parked it in the shelter. Checked later and noticed a drip spot where it drips gas but very slow...one drip every few minutes. The gas valve has 3 positions...I don't know which position is off. I don't know how easy that is to fix... maybe a gasket replacement in the valve or carb.
