If you have been looking for a older Cadillac this is the auction for you. The 1960 Cadillac was a classic design with the jet plane styling. It was a start to a new decade with newly designed fins, grill, bumpers, dash, and taillights. This auction is for a classic 1960 Cadillac 2 door with 85,000 actual miles. It is Olympic white with a black/white interior. The paint and laser straight body on this car are extremely nice. It was repainted approximately 16 years ago and is still impeccable. This was a southern car coming out of Texas and has been in a climate controlled storage for many many years. This hadn't been wet for over 12 years till I washed it a couple months ago. We had someone look at the car and they said the first place these rust and you can hardly repair without telling is the screw hole that hold the lines going to the back of the car inside the body lip on passenger side. This car is perfect there with factory screws. This car was inspected and scored as one of the finest 1960 Cadillacs you would find as being all original. The glass is all original with minor delamination on vent wings. They said it would be best to leave them as the original nature of this car. Chrome and bright work on this car is excellent and original. The water pump developed a small drip many years back and the original water pump was shipped off to be rebuilt so it is still the original one. This car still has t-3 headlights and the factory Packard spark plug wires. Even the spare tire in the trunk is the one that came with the car. Power windows and seats all work great. The trunk mat is a little discolored with age. The interior of the car is excellent and original. The front seat had a protector put on it at the dealership and it is still there. We have the wonder bar radio and it goes with car. Previous owner had a radio custom made to fit dash(No wires were cut nor was the dash). The dash has a crack right in line with the steering wheel, but still has good appeal. I did notice the drivers side muffler has some rust which I was told this is common because when car is started and cold all exhaust goes out drivers side and moisture collects there. The a/c charge needs topped off and when checking things I had to wiggle wiper switch to get to work. These switches have copper contacts and probably need cleaned since been sitting not used. The motor and transmission run and drive great. I have noticed a small transmission leak where sitting in garage. I have tried to look at and be as honest as I can on this car as you can tell from my feedback I shoot it straight. I encourage anyone to come and see this car or hire a 3rd party inspection if you are interested. The car is in Seymour Indiana.
