1955 Ford Thunderbird This is a beautiful little Snowshoe white '55 Thunderbird convertible. The car is in very good overall condition and we are very proud of it. I am posting over 70 photos of the car to show it's condition and features. The car was restored in 2000 by Bird Brains out Aurora, Oregon. It has had just under 10k miles put on it since and still runs, drives, and looks excellent. The car has it's orginal 292 V8 engine and Ford-omatic transmission. Both were rebuilt and have less than 10k miles on them. The car comes with power steering, fender skirts, and the correct (no porthole) hardtop. I am posting a photo of the trim tag as well (it is painted it's original color - snowshoe white). The car is a pleasure to drive and is dependable enough to be your daily driver. It handles very good and is driven quite regularly (mainly by my wife). The engine compartment is clean and the motor is all original down to the rebuilt Holley downdraft 4 barrel carburetor (see photos). The car is very impressive under the hood and I have always been proud to show it off. I have a nice set of service manuals that I would like to include with the car ('55 Ford complete shop manual, Holley shop manual, Ford-omatic manual etc). The tires are near new wide white wall radials. The body is rock solid in, out, and underneath. The paint is older and is starting to show it's age in places but still looks very good overall. The hardtop fits right and is in excellent condition. The mileage was set back to zero when it was restored by Bird Brains and is now showing 9,387 - total mileage is unknown. I have a clear Ky title in my name, current registration, and insurance on the car. The T-bird is very unique and classy. It turns every head it passes and is fun to drive. There is a reason no one ever wrote a song about having "fun, fun, fun, til daddy takes the Camry away. Terms/Conditions - This car is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty written or implied. This car is for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction at anytime if needed. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer although I will gladly assist wtih arrangements. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours with full payment due within 7 days of the auctions end. Naturally, the car will not be released until funds have cleared my bank.
