Vehicle Detail
This listing is for a 1996 Chevy Lumina in need of a new home - either for parts or if you're ambitious, repair. The car does not start, so this listing is AS IS and the buyer is responsible for towing the car from the property. The car was running fine before an accident August 19, except for a wheel rim on the front driver's side that needed repair and a persistant low coolant light though coolant levels were fine. The car was drivable from the accident scene to a side street about 400 yards away, but had sat in an impound lot for a few days before the insurance company brought it back to my house. The inside of the car is fine, except for normal wear and tear of a car this age. There is an AM/FM radio only. No cruise control. AC was blowing cool but not cold prior to the accident. Windshield wiper fluid was refilled just prior to the accident and no fluids were leaking at the scene. The car has a locking gas cap. Emissions were current and passed in August 2010. I have no idea of the full extent of the damage to the car; I just need it to find a new home. The damage to the car is visible in the photos, and if anyone would like to inspect the car personally, contact me via seller questions and I would be happy to set something up. The car was very good to me before the accident, so hopefully someone with better skills and cash than myself can get it up and running again or at least use the parts. Also, the right front fender that was torn off in the accident is available - it's in the backseat. The car also comes with a Chevy Lumina van rim for the same year I purchased by mistake - that alone is worth $100. I was told by a mechanic that the A-frame is welded together - that probably happened before the car came to me because I've done no work on the A-frame. Also, the antenna is missing. Thanks, and contact me with any questions. Also, I don't know why Ebay's information has pulled up the car having a sun roof. It doesn't. It was a former Gwinnett County car.
