It is a solid car virtually rust free and not driven in the winter. The car has excellent paint and free of dings. All body panels have correct Mercedes gap line up. All body panels are 100% original. The Unibody has been inspected and is 100% and can be inspected on our lift. The car does not have any rust or holes in the Unibody. Very minor paint imperfections only. The car has NOT BEEN in an accident or had structural damage to the car. Interior leather is perfect, radio works, a/c works. The chrome is good on the bumper; a few minor dings are present on the top section. Bright work is quite good. Interior has never been smoked in and does not have an odor. Convertible top is very good. Mechanically the car is excellent. We have maintained the car for the last 16 years. Timing chain has been done (double roller chain.) Oil change every year. Exhaust brakes etc. The car was hardly driven but did get maintained. Tires are good and well as the brakes. The car really needs nothing. Now for the AMG part. There is hand written information that the car was converted by Classic Motors in Westmont, IL Stage 2, outer cosmetics and cams, porting and polishing. These cars were converted to any specification the customer desired in the 1980's. The car is quick but hard to tell since it is a 380SL federal car. So we lined up with one of our low mileage European 500sl’s and dragged it up to 80mph. The 380sl was 1.5 car length behind. A standard 380sl would have 4 cars lengths behind so it has been modified. The car is a true 1980 vintage car. It depicts the era for these vehicles. The car will not disappoint you. It runs and drives, does not smoke and has the 80’s look. This is a very rare 380SL AMG convertible in excellent condition for its age with 159152 miles. It is a solid car virtually rust free and not driven in the winter. The car has excellent paint and free of dings. All body panels have correct Mercedes gap line up. All body panels are 100% original. The Unibody has been inspected and is 100% and can be inspected on our lift. The car does not have any rust or holes in the Unibody. Very minor paint imperfections only. The car has NOT BEEN in an accident or had structural damage to the car. Interior leather is perfect, radio works, a/c works. The chrome is good on the bumper; a few minor dings are present on the top section. Bright work is quite good. Interior has never been smoked in and does not have an odor. Convertible top is very good.

Mechanically the car is excellent. We have maintained the car for the last 16 years. Timing chain has been done (double roller chain.) Oil change every year. Exhaust brakes etc. The car was hardly driven but did get maintained. Tires are good and well as the brakes. The car really needs nothing.

Now for the AMG part. There is hand written information that the car was converted by Classic Motors in Westmont, IL Stage 2, outer cosmetics and cams, porting and polishing. These cars were converted to any specification the customer desired in the 1980's. The car is quick but hard to tell since it is a 380SL federal car. So we lined up with one of our low mileage European 500sl’s and dragged it up to 80mph. The 380sl was 1.5 car length behind. A standard 380sl would have 4 cars lengths behind so it has been modified.

The car is a true 1980 vintage car. It depicts the era for these vehicles. The car will not disappoint you. It runs and drives, does not smoke and has the 80’s look.
