For sale is a beautiful 1998 Honda Shadow ACE 1100 (VT1100C2) in near mint condition. It has never been laid down or in a accident. I'm selling only because I don't have time to ride any more. I am the second owner and I know the original owner took very good care of the bike. I've personally had it for about 2 years. For those who don't know, the 98 is the year Harley sued Honda because of the ACE's single-pin crank they used to try and simulate that Harley rumble. It sounds/feels great but not near as loud as a Harley. Details: - Engine: 1100cc, runs like new. Starts immediately and doesn't misfire. No odd noises and no leaking fluids. It does not burn oil. It has been rigorously maintained per Honda's schedule. It has always been stored with the carbs empty so there should be no gummed up jets. - Paint: Black (Looks as good as new with a few minor scratches on the tank and front fender). - Chrome is in excellent condition with no signs of oxidation. The bike has always been stored indoors and was covered in the winter months. - Leather: No signs of wear, no cracking or fading - Tires: The rear tire will probably need to be replaced soon, front tire has about 30% tread left - Windshield: No cracks or chips - Mirrors: Upgraded sport style mirrors installed - Battery: Replaced Fall 2009, properly maintained over the winter - Headlight visor: Added previously. Some of the glue that was used leaked onto the visor itself, see the photo for more details - Tools, manual, etc.: all accounted for and included - Saddlebags: Willie and Max, excellent shape with no cracking or damage. - Canvas cover: included - Rear seat back: included (removed for aesthetics) Closing: I require that the winning buyer submit a deposit for 500 dollars within 2 days of close to hold the bike. This can be via PayPal or money order overnight/2-day. I also request that the bike be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction end. Full payment is required before the title/bike will be transferred. I've got the clear title in hand and will be ready to transfer when picking up the bike. I DO NOT ship so if you wish to have the bike shipped, you must take care of all details. I will ensure that the bike is prepped properly for shipping.
