Up for sale is my very special little TR6 - I bought this car several months ago from a gentleman who re wired the entire car and put in a custom thick aluminum dash - it's amazing how clean and simple the electrical system is when thought out using current technology - as a demonstration of it's reliability the previous owner drove it 700 miles from Rodchester New York to my home in Maryland - it performed flawlessly on the journey - since it's arrival I simply haven't driven it much - I own several other collector cars and I've recently gotten into motorcycles - so it's been mostly sitting in my garage the last few months - details are as follows: 1. great body panels and frame - little to no rust on frame and outriggers - body panels are rust free - one ding in the front center of the bonnet - the paint is nice driver quality with some imperfections - but it looks good - New tires - Toyo Proxies - Great chrome - Heavy bumbers not cheap aftermarket stuff and very straight with not imperfections or pitting 2. Mechanicals are excellent - nicely detailed engine compartment - great oil pressure - no smoking - very little oil leaking (It's British - so if they don't leak a little they're empty ) - but since people often seem to missrepresent the amount of oil leaking I have included a photograph of my garage floor where the car has been sitting for 37 days - so you can see exactly how much oil hit the floor aften an extended period of time. Clutch and gearbox work well - brakes work well - quad tip exhaust sounds throaty and great - bigger needles in the carbs help increase bhp - all in all it's very solid and well sorted mechanically. 3. The interior in nice - the seat look great - the drivers seat has one hole about the size of a dime in the lower middle section of the top portion of the seat - these are the seats thata fold down from the middle - I think 1969 was the only year with that feature - the carpet is new thick marine quality stuff - the dash - where not period current is very cool with toggles Auto meter gauges and a push button start. The convertible top is in good condition without any rips - the rear window is clear - there is not a boot or tonneau. I am a collector not a dealer - so I'm more concerned about a fun easy transaction that making any money so I have put a very modest reserve on the car - well under current market value - please have your finances in order and ask your wife before bidding - feel free to call or write with any questions - Phil 410 963-0547 - Good Luck On Aug-22-10 at 07:12:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Please note that in some of the pics my TR6 appears more bright red than it really is - it's a maroon color...On Aug-25-10 at 18:51:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello All - I have located my paperwork from the previous owner and there's lots of stuff I forgot to list - most of it as follows: Cylinder head rebuilt with new valves, seats retainers and double springs - carbs rebuilt w new throttle shafts and competition needles - stainless steel header - header wrapped - new hose kit new radiator thermostat and water pump Delco single wire 65 amp alternator Dayco belt new fuel pump aluminum brackets MSD ignition box NGK plugs - valuve covers K&N filters cap rotor etc. - vented slotted rotors new pads - stainless baoded lines - new brake servo new Lucas master cylinder new complete rear brakes - gas tank pulled cleaned and new sender - new fuel lines - filler neck and gasket - the list goes on and on - again Godd Luck - Phil
