Vehicle Detail
I am selling a 1978 Datsun 280 Z. Its a very nice car that gets a lot of attention everywhere we've taken it. It's in great condition and handles very well with no mechanical issues. The original miles are unknown but it has about 2,500 miles on new motor and drive-train. There are a few minor flaws in the paint (a small ding on back drivers corner and one bubble smaller than a dime on the front fender). There are 300 ZX bucket seats and an aftermarket steering wheel. The door handles have been shaved and theres a keyless entry. The body is all custom, stainless steel rear end, side flares, and front nose. Engine is a 1979 350 SBC with slight lope to cam. It has a good vacuum and doesn't drip or burn oil but does have a slight leak in the transmission at the pan (new aluminum pan). There's an Edelbrock 750 cfm 4 bbl with a manual choke. it has been rejetted for better mix and power. It has just as much acceleration as a '60's corvette (due to power and weight ratio). Transmission is a turbo 350 with a shift kit that shifts quick and firm. The struts are new and the coil springs have been updated to be stiffer for the motor and ride. It has a new dual exhaust, like new Cragar SS Mags and like new B.F. Goodrich tires all the way around. There is new interior carpet and headliner. It has a large 2 row aluminum radiator and flex fan which ensures it to never over heat. the tach, oil pressure, and temp gauges are all aftermarket. the speedometer is factory but doesnt work due to no gears in the transmission. It has been taken to a few car shows. It's my wifes car and she doesnt drive it anymore (stays in the garage). Drivetrain: 1979 350 SBC .60 over bore and stroke Block shaved and prepped with new freeze plugs and cam bearings Polished crank and rods and pistons New oil pump Double roller timing chain and gears Stock 68 heads with 1.96 intake and 1.60 exhaust valves Weind Intake HEI distributor 8mm plug wires Upgraded radiator and electric fan thermostatically controlled JTR V8 conversion motor and transmission mounts Block hugger headers Factory A/C lines still intact if A/C is desired New Drive Shaft R_200 limited slip differential with 335 gear
