Vehicle Detail

1948 Plymouth Street Rod I’m a 56 year old car guy been building Hot Rods and Drag Cars for 40 years this has been a great car its the best street rod I have ever owned. This is the second summer the car has been on the road full time .I drive this car just about every day back and forth to work when weather permits. My Wife and I have put on over 2000 trouble free miles this summer going to cruise night and major Good Guys shows with our yearly visit to BTT 50s Week End St. Paul MN The body is very solid it does have some minor road rash, but that’s to be expected it’s a true driver not a trailer queen, no rust, all original body panels, paint is respectable it’s a 7 out of 10, with 10 being show condition, the paint looks better in the pictures then up close but still shines and looks great turns heads every where (who doesn’t say that) sure it turns heads LOL! It’s a 62 year old Hot Rod that sits right, looks right ,and the engine has a great rumble. It’s not a belly button car, what’s a belly button car? A car just like every one else has. The chrome does have some pitting and the stainless molding does have some minor dents but can easily be fixed see pictures. I do not have the front bumper This car was professionally built with high quality work (see pictures and video) I have a book filled of receipts. This is a car you can step in and drive any where never over heats, drives straight, handles great and runs very strong what a highway car! With a 2:72 gear at 65 mph it is only turning 2000 RPM with a ton of pedal left! This car is a blast to drive! The only reason I am selling it is because I’m going back to Nostalgia Drag Racing. I was going to turn this into a double duty street and race car but I don’t want to tear up what has all ready been done. This still has the original interior I do have all the inside window moldings, head liner bows and a ton of extra stainless out side molding. The front and rear seats are excellent they just need to be recovered; Floors were replaced to fit the HD 727 Trans not because they were rotted this was a very solid car before the build. Fire Wall replaced to fit 340 Chrysler Engine .Trunk is mint never touched, Ron Francis wiring, Russell Stainless Steel lines with AN fittings on everything, Ididit Tilt Column , Fat Man Company Power Rack Pinion Steering and Power Disc Brakes, Jamco Suspension kit, 8.75 Mopar Rear End with 2:72 Hwy Gear , Drive Shaft Loop ,Hurst Shifter, New 15x5 and 15x8 Wheel Vintiques Milner Wheels ,with Spider Caps ,New Tires , Be Kool Aluminum Radiator, 2300 Spal Electric Fan, New Gauges, Gas, Volt ,Oil, Water Temp, Tach .Every light and turn signal works, interior dome light, trunk light New Rubber and Glass , Windows roll up and down, vent windows work, Heat, (No AC Sorry) Electric Wipers , New Gas Tank Email trmclain@comcast.net Phone 630-550-9083 cell or 630 715 8016 cell Please call before 10 pm CST Although I will do my best to describe this vehicle as honest and complete as possible I am a car guy just like you I do not do this for profit Read my feedback on the last 3 cars I sold I dont hide any thing, what I say is what you get nothing less.
