Vehicle Detail
Hello and thanks for looking. Today I am selling my 1950 Willys Jeepster 2-door convertible, with a 1965 (Mustang?) 289 V-8 Ford engine with a 3-speed manual transmission and Hurst shifter. It has 4 new Goodyear Invicta GL tires P215 x 75 x R15 on original rims, with beauty trim rings, new spark plugs, plug wires, and points. It also has a new master cylinder, 4 new wheel cylinders, 4 new brake hoses, 4 new brake lines, new brake shoes all the way around, new battery, new fuel pump/filter and a new gear shift knob. The carter carb. had a rebuild kit installed last fall. The fuel tank was removed and cleaned, the tank and underbody was undercoated at that time. The framework to the convertible top is there and complete but needs a new vinyl top. It comes with a full set of windows (4). They need refurbished. (See Pics.) and 2 side kick panels (in the same picture). It has new carpet (not original). The left side door panel is missing, but the right side panel is original. Complete with wooden arm rest that could be used as a pattern to replace the left side. All the other panels and pads are in place. It has its original heater (with ivory? knobs) under the dash. All the gauges work, including the tach. It has new shocks in rear. Okay, now the history. I bought this Willys at an estate auction in 2006. It originally belonged to a Shriner who was restoring it when he passed in 1995. He left it and the garage it was in to his sister, who passed in 2005. So, most of the work was performed pre 1995, including the engine and transmission were installed, and the paint is pre 1995. with no rust bubbles, or blisters in the paint. As you can see, it set a long time, so we went through everything: fuel system, brake system, tuned and serviced. The seats look original. If they were recovered (pre 95) they did a professional job. It starts, runs, and drives good. It is getting tired of being started once a month, run a while, and shut off. It would like someone to drive it. Oh yes, it has a real cool custom exhaust system. I have a clear Ohio title in hand. It is titled as a 1950 Willys Jeepster, and the car is free of liens. PAYMENT: A $300 deposit is required using PayPal within 48 hours, and full payment is due within 7 days. We accept PayPal and cash at pick up. PICK UP / DELIVERY: Pick up is expected in 7 days. I can store for 30 days if paid in full. I can also deliver within a 200 mile radius at $2.25/loaded mile per Google Maps with delivery paid in advance via PayPal. Thanks again for looking and happy bidding. For information or questions, call Jim @ 419-553-0760 (cell). The vehicle is located in the NW corner of Ohio, Zip 45880.
