This is a no-reserve auction on a matching numbers Pontiac 2+2. Engine is a YK special equipment 428 H.O. rated at 376 hp. The H.O. engine came with the long-branch manifolds and special oil filter mount adapter. The car came with no power steering or brakes but somewhere in its life someone added power steering. Other options include stereo tape player, deluxe wheel covers, deluxe steering wheel, console, bucket seats, heavy duty 7 blade fan and fan clutch, turbo 400 trans. Color is Signet Gold over black interior. The engine runs and is complete except for air cleaner but needs rebuilt. Body is very rusty. Trunk and floors are bad, frame is good. Now the positive..... about 1,700 Catalinas were ordered with the 2+2 option, which included a 360 hp 428 engine. Only 1,045 H.O. engines were produced and that was for ALL the Pontiac full-size models except wagons. Consider the number of Catalinas, Bonnevilles, Grand Prix's, Executives, Venturas, produced in 1967 and the number of H.O. engines made. Also, how many people or dealers ordering a 2+2 opted for the 376 hp 428 when the 2+2 option included the 360 hp 428! This is a rare, numbers matching PHS documented car. I really don't want to sell it, but with other projects that I have, it makes sense to sell it to someone who can start on it sooner rather than later. The title is in my name.
