For sale is a 1972 AMC Hornet Rallye X. Body was professionally restored about 8 years ago. Paint is excellent, body is straight with no rust. Motor is a 0.030-over 360 with small-chamber heads, Harland Sharp roller rockers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750 vacuum carb, ceramic coated headers, electronic ignition, etc.... 3-core OEM style radiator was new 8 years ago. Engine has remote oil filters and oil cooler with thermostat. Transmission is a Borg Warner T5 with a Ford Motorsport clutch and hydraulic release. Rear axle is a Chrysler 8-3/4 with 2.90 gears, sure-grip, and Moser axles. Suspension consists of V8 springs with Spirit GT antiroll bars and steering box. Wheels are 17x8 Torque-thrust II with 235/45-17 Yokomamas. Most of the interior is original with the exception of the drivers seat (original seat is freshly upholstered and included in auction), and the gauges. Gauges are VDO "vision" series.. Electronic speedometer and tach, and mechanical water and oil temp, and oil pressure. Car is in excellent mechanical condition and can be driven anywhere.
