63 Saab 96...I found this gem (and another) at an estate sale here in Indiana a few months back. It appears to have gone into storage in the early 80's, Engine looks rebuilt and fresh. I hauled it home, washed it, took these pics, then soaked the engine (850cc 3cylinder 2stroke) with Marvel Mystery Oil for a few days just in case, and then tried to turn it over, it turned easy as pie. I disconnected the fuel line, stuck it in a gas can, mixed the oil/gas properly, dumped some down the carb and it fired right up. Tires look good and hold air. The amazing part is unlike the vast majority of these cars, the floors are completely solid, firewall is solid, suspension points, you name it...ive been all over this thing and its just lovely. Paint needs attention obviously, slight dent in leading edge of hood. Hydraulics need some attention before driving of course, I dont have the key for it, I just pulled the ignition cylinder an used a screwdriver. Title is signed by a previous owner, and was never processed by the owner of the estate. I see no reason it cant be processed but I have tried. I will supply a bill of sale and paperwork supplied me by the estate. These are very unique cars but suprisingly easy to work on, and very easy and inexpensive to find parts for.
