SERIOUS COLLECTORS ONLY This is the first time I am using ebay to sell a car, so I have tried to provide the most accurate profile of this car. HISTORY: This vehicle was originally bought in February of 1991 (as documented in the Owner’s Service Manual and photos attached) from the neighbourhood BMW Dealership. The car was registered only two years later as the dealer owner kept it in stock for showcasing purposes. The original buyer is a neighbour of mine who has an elaborate car collection and always had the car registered and driven every year to keep everything working top notch. It has always been and continues to be stored in a dry-heated garage during the winter months (November to March). I bought this care from him on December 14, 2006 with only 38,468 miles (61,548 kms) and in nearly 4 years, I have put only 6,300 miles (10,000 kms). As this car is rarely driven by me, I have simply decided to sell it...that is the only reason! It also happens to be car number 4 in my own personal collection. This car has always been in and around my neighbourhood for the past 19 years!!! Upon purchase, I invested in a new compressor for the A/C, new clutch, new wiper blades, a new brake job using only BMW original parts. I also bought 4 period correct tires (Continental) and added a brand new battery this spring. This is truly a rare and remarkable find as the history of this car thoroughly clean and headache free. CONDITION: This car is especially clean and original throughout. It has never been involved in an accident and there are no 3rd party gadgets attached to this car as absolutely everything is 100% original BMW stock (except for the battery and alarm system). ***INTERIOR: The black leather RECARO seats are in perfect condition throughout and the entire interior cabin of the car shows absolutely NO wear and tear. There are NO cracks on the dashboard, NO stains on the carpets, NO scratches on plastics, NO scratches on glass, no seals that are weak around the doors and windows, NO noise from the sunroof and this car has never been smoked in. Everything inside the car both electronically and aesthetically are absolutely functional and in show room condition without exception ***EXTERIOR: The paint on the outside is stunningly deep and finished in a black piano finish. There is only minor door ding on the passenger side door. There is no visible rust anywhere on the body of the car except of a bubble forming in the front fenders (both on the left and right side-size of a dime). That is all that is imperfect on the finish to this exceptional deep black paint on the car. ***ENGINE BAY: Everything is absolutely clean and original on the car; all in perfect shape. ***TRUNK: Immaculate as I don’t believe anything was ever stored there. There are no scuff marks or markings on the trunk’s carpet and all the original tools are in the plastic tool chest of the trunk. The original spare and tools are still in place and have never been used. All seals are in perfect shape. ***UNDERCARRIAGE: The only recommendation I will make is to maybe change the exhaust system only because it looks old (original) when looking underneath but otherwise it runs and sounds excellent. ***MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL: This car runs as well as a car that has 44,000 miles is expected to run. In my opinion, this definitely does not seem like a 22 year old car and feels like it has yet to be broken in. It is very fast, solid and stable. FEATURES: This car came fully loaded with every option available by BMW – again, everything is original stock from factory with NO modifications whatsoever. This includes RECARO leather heated seats, ellipsoid headlamps, fog lights, sunroof, front spoiler dam, AM/FM cassette player, A/C, cruise control, electric locks, LED computer verification system, memory seats, limited slip differential, rear window curtain and much more! Basically, automatic everything! I don’t believe anyone can find a better example of a 1988 6-Series in the marketplace today and this collectible is surely worth the investment!!!
