1998 Chevy Astro Mechanics special, parts or restore. The Good The upholstery is not in bad condition, just very dirty. Power windows, door locks, CD player all work. Front and rear air work. Transmission works properly. I have clear title in hand. The Bad The radiator leaks, and as a result, the I blew the head gasket on a hot day. It will need engine work. Prior to the engine overheating, the check engine light came on and it lost power so there is also a drive ability problem that will need looking into. It ran great up until these things occurred. The clear coat on the paint is bad (typical of modern automotive paints). There is a crunch in the right rear quarter panel just below the right tail light (see picture). There is also slight damage to the rocker cladding (moulding) on the left side where my daughter rubbed up against a yellow pole (again, see picture). The brakes are a bit noisy, I think it will need rear shoes soon. Please look at the pictures, more available upon request. This vehicle can be driven a short distance, however I wouldn't plan to drive it much until repairs are made. I recommend trailering it in fact! This item is also up for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction. I have represented this item to the best of my knowledge, it is being sold in AS-IS condition, so bid accordingly.
