Up for sale is a 1968 Pontiac Firebird Coupe for restoration or parts car. I was restoring the Firebird but my job is re-locating me to California and will not have time or the facility to complete. I do not want to leave my project incomplete but I have to continue to work. My lost is you're gain as I have already replaced both rear quarter panels and began the floor board replacements which are already installed along with the seat floor frames and sub frame supports. The car is currently a rolling chassis as I re-installed the rear axle and front subframe to load on a trailer. The underbody has been painted with Por-15 and I was going to undercoat entirely but did not have the time. The subframe bushings and bolts are new and installed. I was going to replace the trunk floor as well but (do not have the time) although it is covered in POR-15 as well. The floor boards are rough right now where it was welded just need to grind down high spots. The roof skin will need to be replaced as the previouse owner or before them cut out the roof to install a sun roof and repatched. All the window moldings are in good shape. The glass needs tobe replaced as well. I have all the drive train for the car. The car was driven around town before commencing with the resto. The engine is a pontiac 1968 350 (casting number 9790079) Also a 4-speed muncie transmission. It is a 68 block with matching number heads D178 and D188 (17). I beleive the intake is a ram III application 4barrel. The castings are 9784234 with date stamp D238. The engine block is a stand and comes with the sale as well as the Auto Rotteseri I purchased for $1200 shipped. The carburator installed in the pics does not come with the vehicle. I have all black ineterior seats, door panels etc. The original color interior was blue and exterior color was a beige with blue top.
