Vehicle Detail
1995 Right-Hand Drive Subaru Legacy COLD AIR CONDITIONING Called a "Postal Wagon" -- use it for postal rural routes, newspaper deliveries, or simple coolness! Great primary USPS letter carrier vehicle, or use as a back-up (4x4) Four-Wheel Drive Feature, Great for Rain & Roadside & Shoulder Slick Conditions 119,500 miles (odometer stopped working consistently, details below) Runs and drives great, Reliable, Economical INCLUDES OWNER'S MANUAL, SOME MAINTENANCE RECORDS 135~ detailed pictures and video below WILL COORDINATE TRANSPORT TO ANYWHERE IN U.S. OR WORLDWIDE -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- no reserve -- You are bidding on a 1995 Subaru Legacy L, RHD (right-hand drive) Postal Wagon. It has a burgundy exterior and gray interior. It has an automatic transmission. It runs great, and drives great. It has cold air conditioning. It shifts through every forward gear and reverse correctly. The brakes pull evenly and don't make any strange noises. It has two spots of visible body rust, as pictured -- one is a palm-sized area on the right rear fender, and the other is a 1" by 4" area on the inside of the bottom edge of the driver's door. The previous owner communicated that it has newer brake pads, and that he put tons of money into replacing every single thing that could have created any kind of reliability concern. For example, the auction includes a receipt he provided me as a sample...it is $1,300 of service doing the following: u-joints, front drive-shaft, transmission mount, gaskets, etc. Another sample receipt he gave me is for four (4) brand-new matching tires. Buying a used car with 4 matching tires is an indication that an owner cared about maintenance of his car. For example, usually someone of the mindset to replace one tire or two tires at a time isn't as meticulous about oil changes, repairs, etc. All the power windows work. All the locks work. The wipers work (it needs new blades which is a $20 fix they'll install for free at any parts store). All the lights work. The stereo AM/FM/CD player works. The cup holder still works. The air conditioning and heat work. The retractable cupholders, and arm rest works. There isn't much on the car that does not function, except the following: the spring on the rear hatch release lever doesn't reset itself, so you push it lightly with your finger as you open the hatch so it'll be ready to re-latch itself when you close the hatch. You don't even have to pause or think as you're opening the hatch...you just do it. The speedometer and odometer are only working intermittently. The previous owner said it has about 10,000 miles more than what it reads currently, which is about 119,500. The fuel gauge mostly works, but when it gets down to the 1/4 level it shoots down to zero too fast. So, you just get fuel when it's at the 1/4 mark to be safe. When you fill it, it doesn't get quite on to the FULL mark, but really very close. The tires are certainly not worn in the front, but they are showing some wear compared to the back...time for a tire rotation soon. When you are driving fast (say on the open road at 50mph, without noise from other cars, and you have your window open, you can hear a faint whine sound only when you apply the fuel pedal...it may be a u-joint wearing out or maybe just age of some component). The passenger-side seat belt latch/cover is broken (its components are in the glovebox). The body has nicks, scrapes, bruises, bumps as you'd expect for being in use 15 years. Pay close attention to any dents exposed in the pictures, if those are of concern to you. I've never taken the bra off; you can see protruding around the edges of the bra it's banged up a bit underneath, the detailed photos expose that area of mention. Includes owner's manual and 3 keys. In all of this description, I try to focus on flaws rather than focusing on positives and in so doing I try to leave nothing out. Be sure to study all the pictures and video because they are considered disclosure rather than relying on words alone. I have been registered on eBay for close to 11 years and have 100% positive feedback. Here is a slideshow immediately below this paragraph. Note that it only automatically displays the first 100 of the 135 available pictures. That is not intentional, but rather a Photo Bucket limitation. To view the ENTIRE 135 pictures, click "View all" near the bottom right of the slide show display. AUCTION RULES: Payment is due within within 7 calendar days of auction close, by either cash in person or official bank check only. Pickup is due within 7 calendar days of auction ending, and may not occur until funds have cleared. A $500 deposit deposit is due by PayPal within 24 hours of the auction closing. This 15-year old car is of course sold As-Is with no warranties expressed or implied. You must study each picture and video carefully and fully. If you are a Florida resident you must pay Florida sales tax on this car, regardless of whether you take possession of it in Florida or not, at the time of purchase. If you are not a Florida resident, and you are not taking possession of the vehicle in Florida, you are not required to pay sales tax at the time of purchase(i.e., a real transportation company will be transporting it for you to its destination outside of Florida), however, as a non-Florida resident, if you take possession of the vehicle in Florida, you must pay the sales tax for your state at the time of purchase. No qualified safety inspection has been done to this car. You should have such inspection performed before the vehicle is operated. Vehicle liability insurance will be required if you will have us provide you a temporary license plate and registration to drive the vehicle off the lot. If, however, you are not going to register the vehicle immediately and you will be transporting it from the dealership on a trailer, or will have it transported (not driven) by truck you must sign an affidavit that you are not registering it right away and then you are neither required to get a registration nor license plate at the dealership. You are not required to pay Florida sales tax if the vehicle is "inextricably committed to the export process" to be exported to a foreign country. On Aug-06-10 at 09:44:09 PDT, seller added the following information: The following is the video to which I referred in the description above, of a walkaround, door/body/chassis demonstration, and road test: The following additional photo album (not to be confused with the 1st Photo Bucket album with 135 pictures embedded in the original description above, or the eBay-hosted 24 pictures) holds an additional 201 pictures for your inspection pleasure. Note that the slide show visible below only automatically displays the first 100 of the 201 total available pictures. That is not intentional, but rather a Photo Bucket limitation. To view the ENTIRE 201 additional pictures, click "View all" near the bottom right of the slide show display, preferably by right-clicking and opening in a new window or browser tab so you can continue to view the auction listing while those pictures are loading: On Aug-06-10 at 11:36:56 PDT, seller added the following information: The video above was exactly 1 second (00:01) too long for the video hosting service's requirements. So, here it is again, shortened by 2 seconds for a total length of 14 minutes and 59 seconds...but before giving you that, I wanted to mention that the check engine light is coming on which indicates a "check anti-knock sensor" although the engine never makes any such sound, so go figure. In any case, without further ado, here is the much anticipated video: On Aug-10-10 at 14:02:27 PDT, seller added the following information: If you will be having the car transported (you are not personally picking it up, in person), add $40 to the final winning bid for express overnight document courier services. Storage charges are $100/week for any portion of a week past the first 7-days of storage -- the first 7-days is 100% free. These fees are not waivable.
