Vehicle Detail
Hello, Up for grabs is my 2001 Vehicross. As you know, just over 4,000 were made from 1999 to 2001 here in the U.S. Veh is SUPER LOW MILES...and likely one of the lowest mileage VX's left. I have owned the VX for two years, and can say it is hard to let it go. Everytime I stop, it gets stares, compliments, or questions. It's fun to take out, and will make the new owner proud. It's not perfect, and I want to describe my gripes so that you have no surprises: 1) the abs light is on, and been on since I owned it. Guys on the forum have offered to sell me a replacement for $150, or just mail it to a guy on ebay and pay about the same to have it fixed. THE BRAKES work 100% fine, and the light does prevent a successful inspection. As I understand, most people prefer not to have the abs on anyway. 2) the left window needs to be adjusted. I guarantee nothing is broken and the regulator is fine, it just needs to be adjusted in the track. I have been too lazy to adjust it, but nothing that can't be fixed in 30 minutes at no cost. 3) the expensive black chrome wheels that only have 2500 miles on them show that they will flake soon. i haven't called boss wheels, and you can't see any flakes yet, but over time if they need to be redone, i have a black chrome guy in Dallas, TX that will do them for $170 per wheel if you keep the same tire/wheel combo. 4) one small rock chip that i can find, and a chip in the windshield at the bottom right side 5) belt squeal on start up. i talked to my mechanic (41 years, currently with Toyota for 30 years), and he says the compressor clutch needs to be replaced. THE A/C works 100% fine, blows strong and cold, and the original owner had the compressor replaced about 4500 miles ago under warranty. If it is hot outside, the squeal last about two seconds....if it cold, it will go on and off over several minutes. This was my biggest gripe, but since i didn't drive it much over the two years, I just lived with it. If it were going to be my daily driver, I would probably fix it. I talked to our Isuzu guy who has to OEM new parts, and said the clutch is $360. I'm just disclaiming the above, because in the pictures, it looks perfect, and the mileage is so low....but if I were going to daily drive it, there are a few things I would probably fix. Now for the fun part....UPGRADES: I added several things to the VX, and these are the most common performance enhancements. First, I added a 3" suspension lift in the rear, and cranked the torsion bars in the front. Added 33" NITTO MUDGRAPPLER tires, and 20" black chroem BOSS wheels. Then, after getting the lift done, and tires/wheels on, I realized it would need a brake line upgrade. Ordered stainless steel brake lines all the way around. No brake drips, veh stops on a dime. After adding the lift, tires/wheels, and brake lines, I realized it would be best to upgrade the tie rod ends in the even I decided to wheel the VX....even though I never took it off road, it is good insurance if you, the new owner, decide to do so. All upgrades have about 2500 miles on them, including the Nitto tires. * * * * * Overall, this is a great vehicle that needs a little TLC. Runs an drives great, and can be driven daily no problems. Two keys, with fob, and alarm. NO RESERVE auction - we are having our first baby, so all my toys are going... Thanks for looking....shipping in the U.S. only, vehicle doesn't leave until funds clear the bank. Have a small lien on it, and after you pay for it, I will get the title in two weeks from People's Trust where the loan is held. Good luck!!! **** added a few more pics...forgot that I upgraded the battery to a $200 diehard platinum. Has about 100 miles on it at the most. Great battery. CV boots are fine by the way.On Aug-10-10 at 18:08:55 PDT, seller added the following information:
