Vehicle Detail
For sale is my 1969 VW Bus. I bought it 6 years ago from the original owner, a Grandmother in Idaho. It was garage kept for it’s life and sat for 2 years before I came along. The original milage at the time was 136k. The body is in RUST FREE Condition. It didn’t take much to get it back on the road. Savannah Beige paint, original color· New window gaskets· Full braking system including master cylinder, wheel cylinders, drums, pads and emergency cables· New Bosch clutch· Rebuilt Dual Port 1600cc German VW engine. Purchased from MOFOCO.com· KYB Gas-Adjust shocks· VDO tachometer / installed at the clock position of the gauge cluster.· VDO oil temp gauge / installed beside hand-brake· Pioneer sound system / I have the original AM stereo and single speaker and it works.· Prestige alarm system· New Hankook 185R14 tires· Dynamat and insulated interior greatly reducing road and engine noise.· 3 speed heat / defrost fan- A bus with good heat! I’ve owned “The Bus” for 6 years and have put 28k miles on it. The body is Rust Free and in fantastic original condition. The engine now has 28k miles on it. It’s strong with no leaks. Valves checked and Oil changed every 1000 miles. Joints lubed every spring. Bearings and CV joints re-packed this past fall. Fresh 3M undercoat applied every fall. The floor and wheel wells are solid. I tried to get decent pictures of how great they look. Lights, signals, rear window defrost and horn work. Everything Works! The body is rust-free but not perfect- It has 2 small dents, one on the rear drivers side and one by the drivers side headlight. Both can be seen in pictures. Touch-up paint was required. There is also a dent in the moulding on the drivers side rear. A picture is also provided. This bus also has some rare, original items- Original key, original gas cap, original jack and spare and original german writing throughout. The front interior is original and looks great. The floor boards are rust free. The rear interior has one bucket seat installed, the bed extended with a shelf under it. All side panels are original. A steel cage is also installed to prevent a "smash and grab.” The cage is bolted into the shoulder strap bolt and can be easily removed. I planned on keeping her forever and took care of her to last. Garage kept and mostly highway miles. This bus is ready to go across the country! One of the nicest ORIGINAL busses you'll ever see! The winning bidder can be picked-up from KCI or Kansas City Greyhound station. I’ll check the valves and change the oil. She’ll be ready for you to drive anywhere in North America. Happy Bidding. Attention! Remember if you bid and win, you are obligated by contract to fulfill the terms of agreement as set forth here and in the eBay policy guidelines. Bid with confidence. Clean title is guaranteed!
