Vehicle Detail

1953 NASH-HEALEY LEMANS ROADSTER VIN: 2349 50 LARGE IMAGES ARE SHOWN BELOW THE WRITTEN DESCRIPTION A recently discovered 1953 Nash-Healey Lemans Roadster that had undergone some restoration, but was never completed. The numbers match. It had been stored dry and on blocks, so with a new battery and fresh fuel we got it running. A registration dating back to 1977 shows ownership by the current family dating back to at least then. Thanks to many excellent websites we will spare you pages of general details. Conceptcarz, among others, will provide abundant information and history about this scarce and interesting automobile. Check them out at: http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z10089/Nash-Healey-Pininfarina.aspx Most of the attributes of the car will be clearly visible in our multiple images. The paint looks better in the images than it does in person. If it was wet sanded and polished it could be brought up to driver quality. The car had been covered and was photographed untouched, cleaned or detailed. That makes some of the brightwork appear dull when in reality most of it is in very good condition and will look outstanding. The convertible top is new and the plastic rear window is crystal clear, the interior is very nice and the whitewall tires have all been replaced. It started out life with a blue exterior color. The hood and decklid are alloy and the rest of the body is steel. There is a bite out of the left front frame (shown) at the very front. There may have been a hook or something that allowed that to be ripped out, not due to rust. The undercarriage is very solid including the outriggers and pans. The car moved under its own power to photograph, the clutch and gears were all there and the brakes work. Obviously it will require a thorough going over to make it roadworthy. We have presented 50 clear images of this vehicle. Careful review of them will best explain the look, style, special features and overall condition of this 1953 Nash-Healey Lemans Roadster. We invite questions and comments and appreciate if you ask prior to placing a bid and please read our entire disclaimer following the photo presentation.
