Hello we are Eurowagen Sales. We specialize in VW auto sales. You are bidding on a 2001 Eurovan Vr6. The van is a one owner vehicle. We test drove the van 100 miles and spoke with the previous owner to gain as much relative information for the buyer. The van starts, shifts, and drives wonderfully. Under harder acceleration there are no mis-shifts from the transmission or delays from the motor. I would feel comfortable stating that this vehicle could be driven from one coast of the USA to the other. It is obvious the van was used for passengers and utilities. Several of the armrest do not function correctly. All the seats bolsters are still in good condition although some of the seats have light stains. We carpet steamed and wash most of the interior. The front windows are electric and the regulators still function and sound great. All the lighting found on the interior and exterior function correctly. The radio with aftermarket 10 disc changer works great. The disc changer unit is located under the passenger seat and the control unit is found underneath the stock radio tape player. Some of the good points noted are that the car does drive great. The vr6 chains, guides, tensioners, valve seals were changed at approximately 90k miles. The transmission was serviced as instructed by manual. There is no weird noises from the motor itself showing any need for repairs in the near future. On the other hand, randomely among 10-15 starts there was a squel from a belt or belt tensioner. As seen in the pictures, there is a tow hitch. The electric harness is wired in to the right rear taillight. At some point the wires were not tucked away and were split. You will need to connect some extended wiring to full fill the required wire harness length to function a trailer with lights. The front brake pads and rotors were recently replaced. There is no shake or weird steering wheel feelings while under heavy braking. The tires are all still and good condition with plenty of life to pass any state inspection. There is a rack attached to the roof. This can used for tie down storage, several surfboards, or your best friends wildest ride. It can be removed by key that will need to be purchased at your local VW dealer. The negative features start with the trunk hatch. The van was rear ended on the lower center point of the trunk hatch. The hatch was replaced with a silver hatch that was also damaged in shipping but still installed. Currently there is no u- hook to latch the hatch to the van. I have priced another hatch at $175 and the u- hook and hardware at under $65. IF you accelerate heavly from a stop the hatch will not budge. It also does not create any loud interior sounds. Next, the blower motor is not functioning. Although air will still come through the vents (hot as needed), the electronic climate control unit just blinks when turned on. Last, the check engine light turned on during one of many test drives. Upon inspection of the vans database, there was a oxygen sensor code. Currently the light has not turned back on. This could be a great buy as my reserve is more than reasonable for what the going rates of the van are. If you buy this van, you will not be dissapointed with its functionability aside from the 2 major faults that can be repaired. Feel free to come see the van or speak with me directly.
