Up for Auction is my 1996 Long box Chevy K2500 6.5 Liter Diesel, 4 wheel drive. It has 244,000 miles on it and it is still running great. I use this truck daily to commute over 200 miles to a new job. It is not practical to continue doing this so we are buying another car. It goes without saying that the truck has been maintained very well or it wouldn't have made it to 244,120 miles. With-in the last year I have put in two new 1000 cca batteries, 8 new glow plugs, front wheel bearing, tie rod ends and a new ignition switch. Regular oil and filter changes have been done using synthetic fluids; the truck is due for a full service again this fall. Everything works as it should except the turn signals. They quit last month when I put the new ignition switch in and I have been two busy to go back and figure out what happened. Also, the wires you seen below the dash in one of the interior pictures is from my trailer brake controller that I just took out. When the front bearing was going out it wore the front tire more than usual but considering the tires have over 55,000 miles on them anyway it is still pretty good. If I kept the truck I would replace the tires this fall. A small amount of rust is limited to two spots on the lower fender behind the front wheel wells on either side; you can see the spots in the pictures. There has never been a goose neck ball in the truck but it did pull a 5th wheel camper a little bit (not in the last 5 years). The truck is not perfect but it is reliable, it looks good (both interior and exterior) and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country tomorrow. The interior is in very good shape for the age of the truck; no cracks in the dash, the seat has no tears or rips and the carpet is clean. Again, the over all condition of the truck is really clean and mechanically very good. TOOL BOX DOES NOT GO WITH THE TRUCK.
