Vehicle Detail

Do to a (NON PAYING BIDDER) this car is up for auction again. At NO RESERVE is a 1986 Oldsmobile 442 (Black over Silver). It has the #'s matching engine, transmission and limited slip rear end. I am selling this car for friends who are moving out of the country and can't take the car with them. I have a clear signed title in hand. This car has been in a small city in Indiana all of it's life. My friends are the second owners of this automobile. They purchased it on 08/09/1997 with 101655 original miles (picture of title in ad) from the original owner from that same city (have original bill of sale). The owners said they drove the car from the date they purchased it until October of 2004 when they put it in storage in there garage with 136,500 miles on it. They got it out of storage in March of this year. They drove it pretty much everyday since. It made the 200 mile trip from Indiana to Michigan without a problem, for me to sell it for them. So in the last six years the car has had only 1500 miles put on it. I have sold alot of classic cars and I consider this one a 20 footer or a PROJECT CAR. I have driven and checked out this car and this is what I know of the car. It will need a full paint job. Pump the accellerator twice, car fires right up and idles good. It drives good down the road, front end is very tight. The owners told me they had new parts put on ( tie rods, ball joints, control arms, alignment ect) in the summer of 2004 before they stored it, also added new front shocks and rear air shocks at the same time. Transmission shifts real smooth going thru the gears. Limited slip rear ends locks up to possi trac. and it works good. I have a nice set of black marks in my driveway to prove it. Tires have about 75% wear left on them (very good). It has good excelleration, good brakes, good exhaust, cruise control works, tilt steering wheel, all lights work, left turn signal works good, right turn signal lights up but doesn't blink, horn works but not very loud, heat works, air conditioning works but it is cool not cold. It will need a can of refrigerant put in it. It has been changed over to the R134a. Wipers work but will need blades. The interior is in real good condition. It needs a good cleaning,The t-tops are very good. No signs of leakage and they have the factory GM bags for them, the board to the headliner it there but needs new material, the sunvisors are missing but the holders are there. There are two small rips in the drivers seat ( Picture). Power door locks don't work, could just need to be cleaned that's real common for these cars. It has an after market kenwood radio am/fm/cd in it. Power antenna doesn't work, which is another real common issue. The exterior needs restoration. There is rust in the normal areas (pictures). The worst is in the drivers side rocker panel, both rear quarters in back of the wheels and some in the trunk. The frame is rusty but solid. Both doors ok, both front fenders good, hood and trunk lid good. If you parted this car out instead of fixing it up. The parts alone on this car are worth over $4000.00. The good thing is you can drive this car daily while you repair it, if you want. This car will be a classic in 6 more months which will make it go up in value. I checked the N.A.D.A value for this car. The low retail was over $6000.00. I have seen these cars sell for over $12,000.00 in good condition. So buy it cheap, put alittle time and money into it, sell it and make a nice profit or keep it and have a nice car cheap. The owners will not sell this car for less than $1800.00. The starting bid will be $1995.00. That's to pay for the e-bay fees. Please e-mail me at niser1@charter.net or call after 3:00pm E.S.T. 616 527 1251 ask for Dave if you have any questions. Also please check my 100% feedback. I take e-bay very seriously. I describe my cars as honest as possible. I also use a local shipping company that has great rates if you need the car shipped. Thanks for looking and God Bless.
